$300.00 *** I Decided to go with the McLuxIII PD ***

Re: $300.00 What would you buy??? If I had $300 lying around that I had to spend on a flashlight, I'd get a SureFire K2 KROMA or a SureFire U2. Both seem to be very good, versatile lights that are medium-sized. In my situation, I'd take that $300 and save it for the next-gen Arc (Arc5?) or...

surefire lights in "day after tomorrow"

Re: surefire lights in \"day after tomorrow\" Are you talking about the scene when the nerdy student was fixing the radio in the library? I could only see the tailcap, but it definitely looked like a SureFire... Not sure where the heck he would've gotten one, but... I also noticed that...

How do I clean an E2e reflector?

Not sure about jdriller, but in my case, the reflector looks like it has been "toasted" under the heat of the bulb -- it has that slightly glazed, heated look... I figured that any attemps to clean reflectors would be pointless... even when I use high-quality, microscope lens wipes, I find...

How do I clean an E2e reflector?

I would be interested in how one goes about disassembling the E1/E2 heads to clean the reflector -- if possible. My nearly 1-year-old E2e's refelctor is a bit hazy, and not ultra-mirror-looking-reflective like a brand-new E2e I just purchased. And yes -- the brand-new E2e has a brighter spot...

    Z33 + E-series Flashlights...

I just found it odd that the E-series is listed as being compatible to the Z33... When on the Z33 page, I clicked on the compatability link and it took me here...where they list the E-series flashlight as a "High Performance Personal Light"... (Main Page -> Accessories -> Misc -> Show All...

    Z33 + E-series Flashlights...

So... I'm ordering 72 batteries from SureFire for $90, and because I want free shipping, I order a $11 Z33 tailcap lanyard -- listed as compatible with all "High Performance Personal Flashlights". I think to myself, "Huh? The E-series and the CDGZ-series don't have the same tailcap...

Not sure if I've posted this pic before.

Re: Not sure if I\'ve posted this pic before. Oh, silly me for forgetting... "Nice pic!" I would love to see it in hi-res... ;D

Not sure if I've posted this pic before.

Re: Not sure if I\'ve posted this pic before. I'd happily *chip in* to an image hosting solution for Shelby, and any other deserving members who need an image host... An image is worth a thousand words... or headaches... Example -- a while back, when the A2 was "news"... (not a real quote...

    e2e black clip

Hmm, I don't recall when I actually purchased them, but the 5 GM E2's were purchased about 1.5 years ago. The HA E2 was purchased about 1 year ago, and the HA E1e and E2e were purchased somewhere in the last 6 months. The fit and finish on all of them are excellent, so I don't think it's a...

Orphan E2e head - what to do?

I seem to recall that someone had a thread long ago about the E-series heads fitting right into a Streamlight Scorpion body... If you want your Streamlight Scorpion to become a pre-focused light with a SureFire reflector, that might work for you (or someone else)... Of course, then you end up...

    e2e black clip

Hmm... all of my E2/E2e's have black clips. As for tightness... After buying a bunch of SureFire E2's and E2e's, I've grown to accept that removing the belt clip, bending it back a bit, and re-attaching it is standard procedure. Without that step, the clip is far too loose, and will come...

    Turbohead Questions.. (C3)

Slightly off-topic, but I just noticed that some of you have M2 heads on your C/D/Z-series... It sure looks like I can buy a M2 head and use a P90/91 with my C3... can anyone confirm this? (Geez, I should've just bought a M3 Combatlight to begin with...) I think I'd better restrain myself...

    Turbohead Questions.. (C3)

Quite impressive pic, Sean.... thanks! (BTW, I love your website -- too bad geocities is cheap on bandwidth, and I'll usually get locked out after a while...) I still have not been able to find the 3" turbohead... The SRTH is looking better and better each day, so as long as I can ignore the...

    Turbohead Questions.. (C3)

Indeed, this is a ton of information that's buried all over the 'net, and in the heads of you SureFire veterans... I, for one, am happy that their product line is fairly easy to understand (at least now). However... it would be really nice if I could click on a flashlight, and have every...

    Turbohead Questions.. (C3)

Size15s, Brightnorm -- thank you both for your informative/insightful posts. I've only known of the KT-series, and was somewhat surprised that I was not able to find a ton of posts on it on CPF, or on the SF board. This is probably because I was ignoring all references to the SRTH, as I...

    Turbohead Questions.. (C3)

I searched the archives and I noticed that there was very little discussion about turboheads. If anything, it sounded like the overall opinion of turboheads was that it was not worth the money, and that I would be far better off starting off with something like an Ultrastinger, which was...

    Pronunciations?

I would guess that your pronounciation of Luxeon is correct. As for Nichia, I don't know about the "Western" pronounciation, but in Japanese, it is pronounced "Nee-chee-ah" or "Knee + Chia (as in, Chia Pet)" without the pasue in the middle.

So, who's got the best price for an E1e HA?

Re: So, who\'s got the best price for an E1e HA? I would tend to second that warning about being extra careful about making sure you get a E1e -- not a E1. Lots of places will list the E1 prices to catch your eye... I recently purchased a few E1e/E2e's: http://www.arizonagunrunners.com E1e...

How do you take flashlight beam pics w/a digicam?

In short, how do you take accurate flashlight beam photos with a digicam? I always try to take beam pictures for my friends to show them how much better flashlight A is over flashlight B. But when I put my digicam (Canon PowerShot S110) into no-flash mode, it still auto-brightness-balances...

E2e pocket clip - not flush with body?

Howdy, The E-series' clips often come shipped quite loose. This is quite easy to fix, so I wouldn't worry about it. For the Elite series, just screw off the head,[Moderator Edit (by Size15s): "Please carefully remove the o-ring, then..."] pull the clip out, use a pair of pliers to adjust, and...
