6V "Lantern" Battery Lights - History? Anything good?

I was aware of the Duracell 6 volt having D cells . As for Energizer several sources I checked on line indicate the 528 is discontinued. If the replacement is the 529, not sure if the product is listed the way XXO described at various stores. On line they list the MAX Energizer 6 V or the...

6V "Lantern" Battery Lights - History? Anything good?

Thanks XXO . I have looked for those but have not found any yet. Not sure, if both types are carried by the same store. Maybe online ? I did find a spec sheet for the 529 confirming your info about the 4 "3-361" cells .

6V "Lantern" Battery Lights - History? Anything good?

Interesting Idea for a mod for a lantern. The flood array lamp I been trying is rated at 320 lumens, slightly below you minimum.

6V "Lantern" Battery Lights - History? Anything good?

Agree, that the wonderful thing is the better use of the available power in the battery with the LED . The 1651 LED bulb I have is warm white (3000K) and is significantly brighter that the orginal filament bulb, (twice the Lux output). Running for extended time with the same tint and slowly...

6V "Lantern" Battery Lights - History? Anything good?

You could look online to find battery specs and focus on the capacity and weight as F cell 6V types should weigh more I would think and also have more capacity too. I'm not sure why you need the F cell ones vs the D cell ones and as these batteries are getting harder to find in stores most folks...

6V "Lantern" Battery Lights - History? Anything good?

Been trying to find out which 6 volt lanterns have the F cells. I know the RAYOVAC 6 v does, but do not believe they are being manufactured by energizer. The 808 c Rayovacs are available on E bay and some vendors but not sure if they are old stock . The Energizer 529 maybe but not sure . Does...

    Eagletac USA support

I was wondering in anyone else has had good or bad service from Eagletac USA . I sent back a LED flash light for inspection/repair, and have contacted them (by phone and email) to determine the status. It is frustrating that I have not gotten a reply. Its been over a week since it arrived...

Neutral light with beam like PD35

Yes Poppy There were several points he made in his review. One being the PW modulation visibility of the 2C and the other the output levels.

Neutral light with beam like PD35

Thanks Poppy . After reading your post I checked out selfbuilt's review of the Neutron 2C as well as the 1C .The beam pattern looks like what I am interested in. Looks like the 1C may be adequate if I can get in in a neutral emitter. As for the Eagletac I have a TX25C2 and while it puts out a...

Neutral light with beam like PD35

Am looking for a neutral light that uses 2 CR 123's. I have a Fenix PD35 and find the broad spill beam ideal. The Felix to TK 22 special editon grey is close but more throw than I want. If it were more like the PD 35 in terms of beam and brightness I'd be happy. Is there any light out there that...

    New Bright Neutral light

Thanks All I think I am going Fenix TK 22 Special edition Grey. Just one more question regarding it . Based seflbuilt's review of the PD 35 and the Eagletac TX25C2 and the published throw of the Fenix TK 22 Grey special edition I've concluded that the Fenix TK 22 has a throw closer to the the...

    New Bright Neutral light

Thanks Redforest UK I have the Zebralight SC 52 and really like it for the size the modes available and the beam and that its AA. But when I got the Eagletac TX25C2 I was blown away. Since I don't use the lights every day and didn't want lithium rechargeable batteries was wondering does the...

    New Bright Neutral light

Its been a while since I posted and was wondering if a bright neutral 500 Plus lumen light is available from any manufacture. I have a Eagletac TX25C2 and love it (except for the sporadic switching). It has a great beam profile and I find I like the neutral output better than the cool white. I...

    Re Malkoff,

:welcome:Ditto on the DM51 comment. I've been reading about the Malkoff drop ins for some time now and just received a M60WF. I wanted a flood with some throw to replace my G 2 emitter and can't say enough good things about this beauty. My previous flood king was the Nuawi TM 301X-5 and its no...
