    Thanks for the photos. What was the deal with this light? It looks like a prototype of a future L6 or something. What was the deal with the odd looking tailcap? Also, any pictures of the new U2 models? They seem to be missing from any photos posted so far. Is it a conspiracy? :confused:

    Maybe it just wasn't that exciting. Otherwise I would think they would be eager to share. There were rumors of U2 replacements but maybe that's all they were. Rumors. There doesn't seem to be any activity so I guess I'll go to bed. :shrug:

    I'm big on the environment and I'm all for minimizing our impact on it but it just seemed out of place and a bit forced. Why pick on flashlights? In fact, LEDs and lithium primary/rechargable batteries prolong their use and also allow the flashlight itself to be much smaller saving raw...

    Looking forward to pictures (and details) of Surefire's Titan, L1, L5, 6PD, G3, etc. Just how round is the beam of the new L5 using an optic? Usually optics produce a sort of rounded sqaure. Have they overcome this? Also, whatever happened to the miniBeast?

    Are you sure it's not a Cree? A Cree can be used with a reflector and it's efficient so it would work well with a CR2.

    True but the L5 is also supposed to be one of the first lights to go Cree.

    I haven't heard anything about the E2D but they now have a 6PD. It doesn't have a matching crenelated tailcap like the E2D though.

    Do you know when the first Cree based lights are due out? Are all of their LED lights being transitioned? What all is new in the catalog for 2007 then? Lots of questions...
