    ~ I searched for "alkaline battery acid" and got no results. I had one leak on my work bench in a hot garage ..... Can someone refresh my memory for what to use to remove it ? As I seem to recall ... the answer is not Baking Soda/water paste. Even though that does work on keaky Auto wet cells...

    ~ sbbsga , you must be right about that .... upon closer inspection. But I'm sorry , that looks like a reverse polarity SHORT .. to me. The cells are not placed parallel to one-another . Are'nt 3 cells placed end-to-end said to be in series with each other ? ~

    ~ Those AW cells both have the *Red band* on the right , in the Pic. Your polarity symbols don't match... or the labels are reversed. ( is a *Loop* circuit series or parallel ? ) ~

    ~ Hmmm .... 1.7v - 25v If Minimum voltage is 1.7 this won't work to test NiMh or Alkaline AA's It will only work for LiIon cells . Is there any other meter available with a lower minimum voltage ? that could be used ? ~

    ~ You can check that there is voltage output from the wall transformer you are using . Will it power the computer without the battery inserted ? Can they do that ? ~

    ~ IMHO ..ALL cells should be monitored for the first 15 minutes of charging For Excess heat and/or charger rejection of the cell . Any cell that becomes Extremely HOT should be RE-cycled . (discarded) ~
