    HDS Systems #23

I know, right? But there it is, some of us still have an irrational love for our Clickies too.

That's funny. Finds insults insulting, follows up with insult. Many of us Rotary fans still preferred the Clicky initially but eventually grew to like the Rotary more and more. I think a lot of the 'cliquey' crowd haven't even owned a Rotary, or just like to exercise their contrarian...

I carry my bronze Rotary as my main light and lack of a coating, not to mention being so durable to begin with, it makes wear and tear a complete non-issue.

    Changing LED Tint With Filters

Yes, it's an old thread with still usable information. There are lots of emitter choices. Apparently you didn't read the pertinent parts of the thread or you would have understood better the reasons that some of us have been using the filters and the fact that you can do much more than fixing...

    Changing LED Tint With Filters

Thanks for keeping up with this after all these years. I've had so many emitters swapped but have a modded E1L that for some reason was determined to be too difficult and I couldn't stand the light coming out of it. Now thanks to some minus green it's become one of my favorite lights to reach for.

I think my old orange Clicky went to Australia where I'll never see it again, but I'd really like to see the color come back so I could get an orange Rotary.

Outdoor Dusk to Dawn Solar LED Flood Light?

For actual solar powered lights I've yet to see anything really good yet.

    Dog walking and coyotes

Animals don't understand the concept of a flashlight and the only thing they notice is that it's light. They have no idea that it's you lighting them up and therefore are completely unconcerned.

Outdoor Dusk to Dawn Solar LED Flood Light?

I've been buying the Probrite 8500 lumen fixtures for a couple of years now and like them for not only their brightness, but also pleasant color and non-glare appearance. They've actually got three sizes, ranging from $55-120 at Home Depot, but I've also found good prices on eBay for them too.

    Suggestions for HDS Part Deux...

I can't wait to see pictures of the BeCu lights. Reminds me of Steve Ku lights and I may end up getting one someday, but for now, my bronze Rotary looks really nice. The patina is pretty much in the grooves only, but I really like the way it looks. Not dark like a lot of us would like, but it's...

    there are some Jokes

Not as funny as the stuff you guys came up with, but we had a new know-it-all-and-not-afraid-to-let-you-know type show up. We were talking about something that needed to be put together and I just stopped the conversation and said "Great, we don't have to worry about it. He knows how to do it so...

That would be great if he were to ever be able to do that, but I really doubt we'll ever see a forward ring. Maybe a ring in both front and back would be the best! No matter which grip you were using you'd have instant adjustability.

Sometimes it works perfectly for me, and other times, maybe due to dryness and lack of friction, I have to use two fingers to turn it. Great when it works though.

Surroundings makes all the difference in how much light you need, and even if we never get any brighter output from a Rotary, I'm still always glad that Henry saw fit to give us the lower low that we now have.

I'm sure I'll end up getting a 18350 tube for my aluminum Rotary, which will change the way I've been using my two Rotary's that I always carry. Typically I use the bronze for everything, then will usually, but not always, swap the battery from the other light. I guess my aluminum light will...

Yes, he said that he wanted to produce them, but not until he could make them fit as tightly as the 16340 does, and also allow 16340 usage. Which meant a tube shim of sorts, which brought into play, where to safely store it if using the larger cell. Apparently, like the headlight prototype he...
