    Charging a 21700 battery in a 18650 charger?

Ended up building a 18650-sized battery adapter from wood with wires attached to either side. Wood cylinder goes into the charger, the wires touch on the contacts and attach to the 21700 battery. Completely removable and works great.

Battery for AceBeam L19 (v.2) - anyone know max Ampere needed?

Greetings all I managed to fry my Acebeam 21700 battery by trying to charge it from the car usb. It will be a while before I can get an original replacement (shipping from the US these days is much more expensive than the item). I can, however, get other known brand 21700 such as the 21700...

Help appreciated: looking for a long-throw flashlight

Thank you! I will look into the models you've mentioned. The P30 specs say 700m... I have used the P30 of a friend and it is very powerful for its size. It is difficult to measure the through but it was quite long. It does, however, get extremely hot when used on max power for a few minutes...

    12V IR spotlight

I have the T50, the smaller brother. It does have a beam of about 200m with the 850nm version. The only modification I need is to run it from the car battery. Will arrange some wiring and will use a DC/DC 12v to 7.5V 75W converter. What do you think?

    12V IR spotlight

Thanks for the answer and very nice build project. I think I will have to modify a large hand-held IR flashlight like the T67 sold on ebay etc. There are also IR filters that fit a 5'' and 7'' xenon spotlight, but they seem to be made only in Australia and will not ship overseas.

Using a LED flashlight with the car battery

Greetings all I have a no-name IR LED flashlight that runs on 2X 16850 batteries, i.e. about 7.4V (?) I need to connect it to the roofrack and run it from the car battery (12V). I couldn't find a 12V IR spotlight, at least not for a reasonable price, only the array types which have a limited...

    help needed with identifying bulb

Not sure, but the bulb has a funny whitish color which I don't think is right, plus it is cheaper and easier to replace. According to 3 ebay vendors of this spotlight, it is an H3 bulb. So I will try that. Hopefully it works. Thx A
