The Official Malkoff Junkie thread - Part 2

I've had my Bodyguard for about a week now. I only bought the head as I had several spare 16340 bodies. I really like it. It's become my daily carry replacing my MDC in neutral. The Bodyguard really is a more "tactically"oriented light but I'm not very tactical. I just like lighting...

The Official Malkoff Junkie thread - Part 2

Here's a little question/food for thought--what do you feel is the best emergency Malkoff light to keep in a car for those unfortunate times when you have alternator issues or your battery goes dead (or any malfunction) automotive related mishap that leaves you stranded in the boonies? Do you...

    Malkoff Bodyguard

Is anyone buying the bodyguard head over the body complete body and head? I can't see not buying the head and body for $20 more...I have plenty of shrouded 16340 bodies but the cost for a bodyguard body is so negligible. I feel like the body should be a little bit cheaper on this light or the...

Late to the the party but I sure would love a AAx1MDC Neutral and and AA x2 MDC Neutral. A neutral SHO would be pretty awesome too.

    Malkoff Devices--User Programmable Flashlight

If you already have more than one Malkoff and are looking at this thread chances are good you'll buy any new Malkoff light-- I know I will. Although, over the years, I have learned that pressing through modes on the tailcaps has advantages for some and not for others. I recently pulled my...

Does your camera or phone have a manual white balance? That would allow you to adjust the colors more to what the eye sees.

Let's not forget the need for a Malkoff MDC powered by a AAA. I've carried my 16340 LMH MDC so much the anodizing has worn off. Sometimes, the head is just a tad too big for certain jean pockets.

Neutral and warm droppings are close but not quite. As mentions, warm can have as light rose color whereas the N tends to be very neutral. You can't go wro g with either, IMO.

Malkoff AAA Flashlight? Now with poll.

Re: Malkoff AAA Flashlight? I'm definitely in favor of a twist head if it'll slim the light down

Malkoff AAA Flashlight? Now with poll.

Re: Malkoff AAA Flashlight? I would love to see an AAA light from Malkoff that can also use a 10440. Even an extremely thing AA/14500 light would be great. The current heads are just a tad too big.

Hey fellas, what are the best tube extensions for a Malkoff MD2 and Malkoff standard tail switch? I'd like to make one of my MD2s a little more versatile and be able lengthen the body from a single 18650 to two 18500/14500/AA, or even two 18650s. Thanks john

I have Malkoff tail switches on several Surefires. I see no reason it wouldn't work. The Triad would look pretty rad on a 9P.

Malkoff's McClicky definitely goes in through the top. That way--whether Gene intended it or not--it is extremely easy to service in the field. And wow! The triad style tailcap is damn sexy. Does it tail stand? I might have to get one--it definitely looks like it would help with anti-roll...

Malkoff AAA Flashlight? Now with poll.

Re: Malkoff AAA Flashlight? I don't know about a 9v battery host...but I would love to see a AAA, hi-CRi with the ability to run 10440 cells as well--that way by default you could choose a lower AAA output or a higher 3.7 output. Malkoff did that with some earlier AA/14500 lights.

Malkoff E2 Super Scout Bezel Mini-review

This is one of the heads that will fit the Malkoff MDC bodies, correct?

Yup, there is an Elzetta in there that I forgot about. It runs a M60W. I like the combo because it's fairly small considering it runs a large battery, it's heavy but tough, and the throw on the M60 is great. The warm tint is also a plus.

Of course, several Malkoff hosts, some Solarforce hosts, a few Surefires. I use the MD1 with a three level M361N. I also have an Oveready shorty setup with the adapters and zero rez tailcap.

I forgot the M61NLL. I highly recommend it. I also have the SHD in neutral.

I think the M61 HiCRI is very useful in the pits of a race track. For whatever reason, liquids are much easier to see--especially in a 12-24 race.

    Malkoff "Hound Dog"

    I tend to use the Efest 16350s, 16500, 17500, and 18500s.
