I am seeing no significant advancements with 2xAAA penlights - my favorite EDC format.

I still use my Streamlight AAA's. I just decide, it is what it is and still use them. I don't see any custom maker modifying them.

    Best battery for Surefire Aviator?

Yea I recommend against it. He probably wouldn't care about your or my opinion anyways and just keep doing the same crap, whatever it is that annoys you and most likely the average person.

    Best battery for Surefire Aviator?

Their are no recharbable batteries in war. I can say that in many different ways, but I'm being lazy today.

    Best battery for Surefire Aviator?

I have no experience with the LED version of the Aviator, but the incan version will run on either two CR123A's or two RCR123A's without modification. The voltage regulator in the body puts the voltage at about 4.2V to the lamp assembly.

    Oldest LED lights you own

Probably a T3. I still have three of them. One in white, one in green, and one in red. Does it say "Emissive Energy Corporation" on the tailcap? Those are the original USA made ones.

    Oldest LED lights you own

I have some old LED Inovas and Surefires around here older than 2003, I'd have to look. Top of my mind comes red and a green Sureifre KL1 finned heads and some old Inova X1's and other stuff like that.

    Oldest LED lights you own

I still have a red Photon II from the same time frame 2003-04 that has saved me a few times all the years it was on my keychain. I replaced it a couple years ago with the newest Photon in red. But since then I also have a Sofirn 4K 1AAA on there as well.

I wish C sized lithium ions had taken off. To me that is about the perfect form factor. I love C Maglites.

    Surefire E1L Outdoorsman KX1 LED

Yea, the two cell E2L was rated at 45 lumens. It's the same KL1 head though, you can put The E1L head on a two cell body with two CR123A's and get the same 45 lumens.

Surefire M340C - Has anyone heard of any fakes?

The sad thing is that a lot of people actually know, but just don't care! They got the Surefire name and "looks" for cheap. And, unfortunately a lot of newer genuine Surefires are not excellent, bomb proof lights like the older ones.

Surefire M340C - Has anyone heard of any fakes?

There are a ton of fake Surefire LED weaponlights on ebay and everywhere else unfortunately. In many different models.

    Surefire P60 titanium clone

Ti is good for incan, but not so good for LED's. Titanium doesn't dissipate heat like aluminum does. I wanted to order one of these when I first saw them, but I was also questioning how legit the titanium description was. The magnet test helps a little, but isn't definitive.

    SureFire EDC1-DFT and EDC2-DFT

Less output? That's what smaller or key chain lights are for.. Currently have a CR2032 coin cell and 1AAA light on there. Clicking through modes is generally a very annoying and unnecessary hassle to me on a main light. The only time modes are done right for me is when there is actually an...

    Maglite 4 D cell ML300L

Was going to mention that I've never been a fan of Nightcore anything myself.

    Maglite 4 D cell ML300L

I would go with the NIMH D cells. Quality version of course, not re-wrapped AA's like certain manufactures are known to do. I'm sure there are some cheap chargers that can fit the D cells. I'd keep some lithium AA's in 3 cell adapters for backup when you need longer runtime.

    SureFire EDC1-DFT and EDC2-DFT

They are just another clown outfit with a drop-ship online store front that couldn't care less. They have listings on their site for items from manufactures that have been discontinued for 15 years just for that extra footprint on the web for advertising purposes.

    SureFire EDC1-DFT and EDC2-DFT

This was already revealed before Shot Show back in January when they were showing the 95K and 100K lights off in their display booth.

    SureFire EDC1-DFT and EDC2-DFT

A lot of places are like that nowadays. They make you pay their markup, then order it and make you wait for it. Botach is another one famous for this for over twenty years, not to mention a lot of other far more questionable things they and the owners have done. If a place doesn't have it in...

Where are all the 1AA flashlights these days?

I remember when the Fenix L1P came out 1AA flashlights were all the rage for so long, then they just died away. Can someone recommend me a decent 1AA light, preferably with a warm tint and HCRI? I might have to go with Peak, I think they still build one.
