Hello, I'm Orion. And I have a problem. Bought another flashlight.

The one I got has a warm light output. It was a nice surprise, considering that most are either neutral or cool.

Hello, I'm Orion. And I have a problem. Bought another flashlight.

So, yeah......even though I do NOT need it, I bought another flashlight. This time, a Nitecore EC22. I carried it today as my EDC.

What's the latest in magnetic variable ring type flashlights?

Thanks for the input guys. And thanks for the "The design has decidedly taken a turn for the worse" pun. Good job! Anyway, I guess I'll just have to pamper my RRT01 a much as I can if it is going to be a rare interface.

What's the latest in magnetic variable ring type flashlights?

I prefer flashlights that I can control the output on and those I found the best are the "magnetic ring" types which can slowly be ramped up in output as you twist the ring. Unfortunately, there aren't very many small lights that do this, namely small AAA or AA size lights, so the next best are...

Computer experts needed: Intermittent network connetivity issues

"....and for the love of God, stop using IE!" LOL Really, I was only using it because when my internet craps out, it has the "fix connection" thing,.....which I kinda determined may not have been an issue. Anyway, I'm at my sisters using her computer, so I'll give this a try tomorrow...

Computer experts needed: Intermittent network connetivity issues

Ethernet.....and Windows 10. I'm in an apartment building that gives free internet and everytime I contact them about this, they do not detect any problems on their end. Update: In the past, I WOULD do the "Fix Connection Problem" button,....but tonight, I haven't done so,....and the internet...

Computer experts needed: Intermittent network connetivity issues

I'm having an issue with my computer. During the course of an evening, my internet will drop. It stops working. I do the I run the network fix [through IE], and eventually it come back up. It lasts a short bit then goes back down again. I borrowed a laptop and it doesn't seem to have this...

What Anti Virus software should I use?

Hey guys, just wondering what anti virus software I should be running on my computer. Currently, I have Malware Bytes,....but as I understand it, that's not technically an anti virus software. When I try to turn on Windows Defender, I get a message that it is not on because another program...

    Energizer Vision HD 6AA...battery question...

The battery configuration makes me think it is just using a double 4.5 volt setup. I think I'll just get some regular lithium batteries for it.

    Energizer Vision HD 6AA...battery question...

Ah,...Lynx Arc, you may have something. This light uses 6AA size, but they all go in the same direction. Two rows of three cells.......or like: -==+-==+-==+ -==+-==+-==+

    Energizer Vision HD 6AA...battery question...

I was wanting to go with something rechargeable to help on cost. I can go with NiMh I suppose....or the L91. How about two 14500 and 4 dummy cells? :-D Yeah, it is a pretty amazing light....well worth the price. Great color of the beam....very wide, but still able to shine out pretty far.

    Energizer Vision HD 6AA...battery question...

I got an Energizer Vision HD, which takes 6AA batteries. What if I wanted to use 4 14500 cells and 2 dummy cells? Would this work? This light is extremely bright, BTW......quite amazing for the price. :-)

Never thought I would be impressed with a store bought flashlight.

Thanks guys. In the age where it seems like you have to spend a lot of money for a decent light, it is cool that some companies like Energizer are currently producing decent lights, and the one I got certainly is a good one. I know it won't be as good as the more expensive lights, I just was...

Never thought I would be impressed with a store bought flashlight.

Okay, generally, store purchased flashlights aren't as good as those which are usually purchased online. However, I got curious at Target, the other day, and picked up the Energizer Vision HD 2AA, . . . which has three small LEDs with two small throw-ish optics, and one flood optic. I have to...

Best infinitely variable magenetic ring light brands and models?

Honestly, I have reservations about lights with "off brand" company names. Not sure about the ones you mentioned, ven.....and haven't been on this site for quite a long time. What is the general consensus about these?

Best infinitely variable magenetic ring light brands and models?

Perhaps that was a poor choice of words on my part, HarleyXJGuy. The V11R is what I normally carry. Sure, I'd like a bit brighter beam and perhaps I should send it to the "resident expert" to enhance. What does he do? I have a CREE XP-L emitter on a star currently. I suppose that would be a...

Best infinitely variable magenetic ring light brands and models?

I recently just picked up a SORT of "variable output" light. The Nitecore P36. Very nice color to the beam, and ~ 9 different levels. Not quite as bright as I was expecting [the 2000 lumens claim], but I suppose most of that has to do with the huge LED this light has.

    Nitecore P36 (MT-G2, 2x18650 4xCR123, Rotary Dial) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS+

A bit of an old thread, but I would like to resurrect it to say that I got one. So far, I really like it! I like having the levels of brightness! I had another MT-G2 light with an output that was a LOT more orange than this one [returned it,...also prefer the interface of the P36]. So far...
