Can you tell me more about this knife?

Well I hadn't seen that particular site before. i was searching using hawg in the search term and kept coming up with the side hawg line. I actually just finished searching using ike Franklin folder on google and came up with a few sites. I am actually surprised at the lock up when opened, is...

Can you tell me more about this knife?

Figured I'd post about this knife I just picked up since alot of afficianados frequent here. Sorry the pics aren't great. Logo on the blade reads Mike Franklin-Hawg! with a drawing of a cartooned boar. It is pretty small and very light weight. Looks like the frame is aluminum. Would really...

    Spyderco Spyderwrench

Virgo, thanks for the pics. Man I would really appreciate a copy of that manual if you get around to it. Could you tell mewhat metal the knife blade is made of? Is it as easy to open as a standard Spydie?

    Spyderco Spyderwrench

Want to know whatever I can about it. I remember when they were sold a few years back, but never had one and know not a thing about it. Some searches on Google turned up the fact that it consists of two sections that can taken apart(?). like I said, am curious about it and will have no manual...

where do you buy your paracord and accessories?

Where do you consider the best pricing for getting paracord? Browsed ebay and saw 100 ft bundles for, average $16 shipped. About the same as lighthound.com, but there would be shipping too. I'm not necessarily looking for the best quality cord either. Also would want different colors. And...

    Seeking crush-proof pouch for glasses

Forgot to mention it also makes a great pouch for carrying my Stinger, as do my other baton pouched. Which works out well for me, don't have to give up one for the other.

    Seeking crush-proof pouch for glasses

Well don't know if anyone is interested but found my solution. got the specs today and found they fit in a Safariland baton pouch, open top, for 26 in. It is the model that has a hard plastic insert sewn in to make it retain its shape, not all pouches have this. just wrap my little lens cloth...

    Seeking crush-proof pouch for glasses

Looks interesting, but may be a little bigger than I'd like. Found a clip on single magazine pouch in the dresser that might work, though the pvc idea from the pouch is giving me ideas.

    Seeking crush-proof pouch for glasses

am getting a new pair of glasses with magnetic clip-on shades. Would like to find a "crush-proof" pouch to carry it in. Would prefer a clip on type like a Rip-Off, so I can use it on my duty belt at work and/or at home or on outings. Any leads? I have some kydex in the garage and am considering...

    Knives for Defence

I too have seen that video and there were wdevastating wounds shown that were inflicted by a common fork. Though both are deadly, knives and guns each have advantages over the other. Always be wary of someone weilding a knife, even the untrained. When working armed posts I carry three backups...

    Knives for Defence

Curious. First, I do not find it overkill. More than I would carry, yes. Do I understand your reasoning, yes. I always advocate the backup and you exemplify (sic) that train of thought. Some questions. The 6-61/2" next to your roscoe. what do you mean by reversed? I have seen some carry so...

    Knives for Defence

Can't help it, I enjoy everyone's insight and commentary. I also appreciate the overall attitude displayed here, as opposed to other forums were armchair commandos and wannabees spout off about things they know nothing about.

    Knives for Defence

I have been carrying a blade since I was about 17 years old. I seldom if ever have a utility use for them besides opening a very occasional envelope or package. It is for self defence only. I refrain from opening mail with it since I learned long ago how fast paper will dull a blade. Also too...

    Going small

Hooray powernoodle, I have yet to see anyone else carry a Dragonfly. I love that knife, and though at times I would rather at least the next size up, its size has always been a good compromise between size, weight, and function.
