    Best UV flashlight

Hey there, 7histology! What's best depends a lot on the task at hand. What do you intend to use the UV output for? A lot of the time, the purpose drives the spectrum selection and hence the light/flashlight. Eg. 365nm curing lamp or flashlight for Norland 61 curing, a dermatologist's Wood's lamp...

Muyshondt mail call... Had the green Aluminum Flieger Proto for a while. Definitely light-weight compared to its production siblings. Here it is beside the new arrivals - Opus Flieger in Mokume Gane, turned Titanium Flieger & Aluminum-Bronze Flieger. Shiny  Oh wow! :twothumbs

XHP70 anyone have a favourite? Neutral white available?

The beam artefacts are mostly to do with the quad-die design of the XHP70. Usually not an issue if you're using an OP reflector that the R50 and G20 uses. Actually, yes. If you know what you're doing, a direct emitter swap is relatively easy and safe. Remember to get the right version (6V vs...

    single AAA UV/blacklight?

Hi Starik1, Not too common form factor for UV lights, but if you can get your hands on one, SunWayMan's R01A UV runs off x1 AAA.

XHP70 anyone have a favourite? Neutral white available?

Hey Tett :welcome:, If you're willing to put up with the beam artefacts and the ridiculous amount of heat generated by a well driven XHP70... And you're sourcing for a modded light, Cutter Electronics has in stock some XHP70s with 3A 5000K tint at 96CRI. Lovely tint.
