    Wanted: Zebralight SC60W

My initial statement of output was clouded by emotion and later corrected...i should have done a proper test in total darkness before typing that one part. The programming aspect can be great for lots of folks...but some prefer simple UI without any chance of changing settings inadvertantly. I...

    Wanted: Zebralight SC60W

Ah, thank you. I'm not really interested in a headlight.

    Wanted: Zebralight SC60W

I tried to find info on past models, but it isn't readily available. Got a pic? Is the UI H1/H2, M1/M2, L1/L2? After using my new one awhile, i was WAY OFF in my initial statements. The SC64w HI beam is indeed vastly superior in brightness...but gets too hot to hold within 30 seconds or so. And...

    Wanted: Zebralight SC60W

I just spent a hundred dollars on a new SC64W HI to replace the lost SC60W...and am less than impressed. It is smaller, MUCH more "dainty" feeling, and the "upgraded" output specs seem no better than the old one (without having a direct comparison.) If someone says "I got one...for $200 it's...

    Wanted: Zebralight SC60W

After a solid run of about 15 years of literal everyday use, having even kept it in mint condition, i finally, somehow, lost mine. Warm LED, 18650, no strobe, sc60w...let me know if you have one and how much!

anybody mail a light back to Fenix for repairs?

So my LD05 finally died after years of use, and upon emailing them on how to get repairs done, they said mail it to them in China, and they'll fix it and ship it back no charge. Sounds great considering I bought it used and no warranty (as far as I know). Thing is, UPS will charge $94 to...

    pocket light

gotcha...didn't realize that. It still is a valid option though if the larger size is desired in conjunction with higher output. Just ordered one about about 12 minutes ago! The RRT-0 that is.

    pocket light

Ooo, that RRT-0 may just be the ticket! May be just the right compromise for him. Since it can take an rcr123, can I safely assume that with the AA extension and an approriately-sized li-ion A) would be perfectly safe B) it should get plenty of power/runtime?

    pocket light

Leaning a bit more towards power, such as an 18650- roughly 150lm light or even a 3AAA within an adapter for a similar size of roughly 5 inches or thereabouts. The penlight Pelican 1920 would serve the role of the above mentioned lights, and his "pocket light" would be his go-to for more power...

    pocket light

Another recommendation needed for co-worker to supplement the lower output Pelican 1920 penlight, with main concern being ON/OFF only without modes, however, he isn't averse to a twist head that can be locked in a position, or variable output twist head. And not a cr123 light. an 18650 (or other...

EDC work light chest pocket style.

chest pocket lights are certainly considered penlights (in my head). and I agree AAA vs AA. The Pelican has a good combination of size, shape, and clip location. I may order one for myself to go against my own EDC Fenix LD05.

EDC work light chest pocket style.

saw the 2nd post after typing. Yes, he's after a bezel-down pocket clip light. I have an SC60 and love the beam. If only there were no modes for co-worker!

EDC work light chest pocket style.

I'd seen the Streamlight, but not the Pelican...thank you!! Going with the Pelican for chest pocket and will start another thread for a regular pocket light which will open more options, as he doesn't mind a twisthead that's variable such as Sunwayman products.

EDC work light chest pocket style.

Hello, Biggest desire for a chest pocket everyday work light is ON/OFF ONLY. My co-worker is quite clear on that. Rest is all below. 1) How would you prefer to purchase the light? ____I would like to purchase the light from a brick and mortar store. I am located in ______________. ___x_I will...

need sharply cut off beam pattern rather than bright throw

It's been two months now, so you should have surely received your DX package by now? How does your "uncircumcised" light working for you?

need sharply cut off beam pattern rather than bright throw

Does anyone have a pic and a clear description of how to visually spot the difference between the original Inova X1 and newer versions? Google doesn't really differentiate.

need sharply cut off beam pattern rather than bright throw

hehehe, I was gentle with the mini-mag response. The Dereelight mentioned isn't aspheric, and seems like a typical floody xpg beam pattern. I had a PreonII and again, typical xpg type beam. A bit floody. The DX 103914 looks interesting. It kinda seems like it might be aspheric...is it? The...

need sharply cut off beam pattern rather than bright throw

The dereelight looks promising...just need to research beam pattern. As for the mini-mag, we're too much of modern-light-snobs to do that. :)

need sharply cut off beam pattern rather than bright throw

I directed him to this thread, and maybe he'll he'll join. At the moment I don't have many answers. He works graveyard and is likely asleep now. Greenlight...now I remember hating Lensers because I have a 180° difference in light needs to my brother's, and have only looked at floodier lights...
