I contacted Lupine (Wolf) and he told me that they are planning to release a neutral white (4500k) version of the Blika headlamp next year. I like the idea of the bluetooth remote controller and the programmable spot and flood modes of the light. Dimmable red and green light is also nice to...
Hi Armytek, Any news on the new models (elf, viking USB) release dates? When these new lights are reliable as my Wizard pro XHP 50 I want to have all models! You definitely made a major quality improvement in your products. Thanks for that, keep on going!
Re: Fenix HM30R (CR123\16340 headlamp) Looks like a nice small headlamp. Thanks for the post. Unfortunately it doesn't has a real firefly mode and it fits an outdated LED (XM-L2). I am curious what makes this light so extra rigid. Impact resistance isn't that high (1m). Are the electronics potted??
Thanks for the review !! I have the new XHP50 Wizard pro warm for a couple of months now and I still like it a lot. I hope the new Tiara, Viking and Elf lights with usb charging option will be released soon.
Thanks for the great review !! It just looks like a copy of the latest version of the Armytek Wizard. The only thing I don't like about this light from Finland is the need for the special battery with the + and - poles at one side (when charging with the included charger). Olight also use this...
Hi Armytek, I think you already have some good lights with the new XHP LEDs, but here some ideas: - wireless charging option - infinite brightness control(ring) like the HDS rotary - modularity like Elzetta and Malkoff do - but most important above all other options: super, ultra reliable...
I have the warm version and I like it a lot. I think it's about 3800K and really has a yellow/warm tint, not neutral. I don't have the white version so I can't tell you how cool or warm that version is.
Looks like a nice little light. Only the missing real low mode and the kind of PWM thing I think are dealbreakers for me.... Thanks for another great outdoor field review!
Thanks for the info! I think it's a bit strange to rate something ipx8 waterproof when no seal is used.... I like to hear more from you after using the light some time.
Hi Daniel_sk, The new models indeed are very nice headlamps. Could you tell us if the battery compartment is really waterproof and contains a rubber seal? And..... does it still use visible PWM in dimmed mode?
Iamlucky13: thanks for the suggestion! I have a Zebralight H52Fw and think it's a great small headlight. The H53Fc indeed will be an upgrade looking at CRI. One of the cons of the single AA lights in my opinion is the short runtime. But, let's wait what the H53 will bring. I am very curious.
I never heard of them, but they make some great lights. Indeed with better spill then the Lupines. As far as I can see there are no resellers in the USA. Indeed, every person has it's own preferences for the ultimate headlamp.
