    Best AA edc flashlight?

Agreed. I could never get accustomed to the mode switching on my Malkoff MDC AA. It was dimmer and bulkier than expected. I sold it.

what was the first led flashlight you owned?

Gerber Infinity Ultra. It has to be one of the dimmest lights I ever bought, but it is built like a tank.

Anyone EDC a Arc AAA Exclusivley?

My wife keeps an ARC-AAA-P on a neck lanyard bedside in case of an electrical power failure. I keep a few other ARC-AAAs in storage, including a UV version. They were great lights.

    right angled flashlights?

The Streamlight Protac 90 (on the left in the photo) is my favorite. It can be powered by a single CR123, AA, or perhaps a different battery.

Inova 2*123 and programmed death of button switch

Inova used the same nomenclature for a few different lights which adds to the confusion. Looks like an Inova T2. The tactical (T series) Inova lights had real clicky switches. The X series had momentary contact switches instead.

Inova X1, XS, and XP changes for 2017

It is now 2022 and the Inova XP (2AAA) and XS (1AAA) penlights have been removed from the Nite-Ize web site. I was hoping they would develop improved versions.

    Has Your Flashlight Hobby Waned?

I miss the days of combing the flashlight aisles at Target and Fry's and trying every new Inova and River Rock brand light they sold, then discussing them on CPF. Also miss discussions of Peter Gransee's Arc lights and how well built they were. I still have a few.

    Tailcap failure common?

Tail caps have failed in my lights more often than any other component. Tail caps failed in a Fenix LD05, Streamlight Protac 1AAA, and a Chinese-made Snap-On penlight. Plastic battery holders are untrustworthy, too.

What did you use your flashlight for today?

I used this Streamlight Protac90 today while browsing a dimly lit antique mall. Some of the overhead lights were off making it difficult to view the merchandise.

What are your experiences with the Fenix and Olight brands?

I have owned several Fenix AA and AAA lights and found them impressive. Some of the earlier lights bore the Leatherman label. My only Olight is an I1-R2 which I stopped using after a week or so. Olights don't interest me. The flood of shills reviewing and unboxing Olights on Youtube is a...

What did you use your flashlight for today?

I needed to add air to the tires on a snow blower. I used a Streamlight Protac 1AAA in a dimly lit garage to read the recommended tire pressure listed on the tire sidewall.

What did you use your flashlight for today?

I just came in from outside, where we are in the middle of a violent thunder/rain/wind storm. A downspout had been blown away by high wind gusts and I used a new Streamlight ProTac 1L-1AA to find the downspout and reattach it. Earlier this evening I used the same light to check for basement...
