I still use my Quark Tactical Neutral with a 14500 all the time around the house... I have yet to find a comparable light with momentary switch... the deep carry clip I added is also great.
In my opinion the H series lights also work great for EDC with the clip... I carry mine clipped to the top of my left (cell phone) pocket all the time. The right angle makes it a great little "work light" that can be aimed at the task. It also makes a great night-stand light with the super low...
I got the Sofirn BLF LT1 for Christmas and it's really awesome! Still haven't figured out how to change the color temp, but the default appears to be 2700k, which is what I want anyway.
I own many Zebra's and I am very familiar with their UI... I have never gone into the G5/G6/G7 programming modes as I find the standard UI to be sufficient for my needs. I would like to find out if it's possible to program a ZL to be a reading light for my mother-in-law... there is no way she...
I am looking a decent lantern that runs on 18650 cells... I don't have any specific specs other than good value, neutral/warm tint, and decent CRI (80+).
Willing to bet it will fry the driver... not willing to try it on mine. I still have a very early (smooth) model H52Fw that is my EDC and I use it with 14500. The H52Fw with a 3-5 minute 14500 Turbo Mode would be a perfect EDC for me.
In my opinion, the SC600w IV Plus and the SC64w HI make the most sense... I would keep and use those two. SC600 is for counter-top, nightstand, bag... SC64 is for pocket.
Do not invite defloyd77 to your party! I think eventually we will all have implants or chemical treatments to see almost perfectly in the dark. I will still use my favorite lights.
You never use your light to read something in a car while someone else is driving? Or in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom without turning on blinding lights?
Color Temp and Tint? For EDC, I would want 1 to 300 lumen modes While I love the USB-C standard, and half of my devices these days use it, USB Micro is still more common in my universe when in a pinch... both USB-C and Micro ports would be cool.
Yeah... snow cover is rough for crappy tints. It's also when I notice the purple ring on my SC600w Plus... as mentioned in another post, ZL did remove that coating, so my newer SC600w doesn't have it.
