    Best Flood-To-Throw Style Light?

I realize this is not the most efficient style of light, but I am really fond of the big smooth beam that this type of light puts out. I already have a few: sipik sk68, coast hp1, duracell durabeam ultra 500, and an ultrafire XML zoomable flashlight. I am are than any high end options for...

The light I I wanted was discontinued, suggest an alternative?

I was all ready to purchase a UniqueFire F12-B and even ordered it from Manafont, but they sent me an email saying it has been discontinued. Not sure why it was discontinued, but regardless, it is no longer available. Ideally, I wanted a flood-to-throw zoomable flashlight that ran on cr123's...

    Smiling Shark Flashlights @ DX?

Haven't checked dx in a while and there are a number of interesting looking lights with the brand name "smiling shark" that have very few reviews. Has anyone else noticed these? Anyone seen a review or bought one? I was particularly interested in SKU 184794 EDIT: Oh, it was only added like a...

Best Place to get a Sipik SK68 type light from these days?

I really like the sipik sk68 style light and I was thinking about getting a few more. Where is the best place to get them now? Uses good emitter's, quality control, price, no crappy extra modes etc. For clarification, doesn't have to be under the sipik label, that's just the best way I know to...

Ran My Quark 123 Through The Wash...[UPDATE: 47'S CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS AWESOME]

Just discovered that I ran my keys through the wash, doh! On the bright side though, this means I need/get to buy a new keychain light? Recommendations? I was just looking at the Olight I1 EOS on shiningbeam. Is that a good choice? I was thinking about maybe trying a cr2 light, but I already...

    Fenix TK45 in Prometheus

    Rayovac RNR2D-B Roughneck 2D

Just got two of these on sale for 9 bucks each and have to say for 9 bucks its a pretty sweet light. Big floody beam that is bright and white. Has two modes and pretty solid construction. The palstic head feels a bit cheap, especially when using the "adjustable head which is a bit of a joke...

    Zoomable flashlight with an xm-l?

I was just browsing through some of the cheap flashlight websites and I noticed there are quite a few flood-to-throw lights with xm-l's in them. I've always been a fan of this type of light, does anyone have any experience with any of them? Thanks

Think it's time to finally get an x-ml P60 drop-in.........for around 20 bucks?

I see solarforce has a high voltage one that looks pretty nice and is only like 18 bucks...... I know manafont has a popular xml drop=in as well.... I've kinda been out of the flashlight loop for a while, any other recommendations? Oh yeah, ideally I'd like to be able to run this off of...

    SMALL SUN ZY-A3?

Does anyone own this light? I believe meritline is selling it on sale right now(they don't actually name it, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is) and I was wondering if it was worth buying since I am fond of zoomable lights. Thanks.

My first LED lightbulb: Very Impressed!

I recently purchased a "FIRST Green e-watt saver LED bulb" for 13 bucks(with shipping its like 18) from boston robotics and I have to say I am quite impressed. It is a bit too expensive for me to get enough for my whole apartment, but it has a very nice tint and puts out a comparable amount of...

Black & Decker Flex 360 Clamplight

    Thoughts on the Romisen RC-39?

flood to throw lights have been very popular as of late and I myself am very fond of them so the rc-39 definitely caught my eye. Uses a TIR lens which makes it pretty unusual. Sounds like their might be heat issues with it though.

    XM-L Drop-ins

Are there any XM-L drop-ins(for P60) that can handle 2xcr123 or do they all get too hot with that battery configuration? I plan to mostly use 18650, but I really like having the backup option of using cr123's. Perhaps one of the drop-in's that isn't driven quite as hard? Also I haven't had much...
