【Discussion】What's your favorite flashlight and why?

LEP is my new favorite, because you can satisfy your desire to illuminate something extremely far away without disturbing those on the sides of the beam's path.

Another reason is LEP is a single-cell sized torch with the throw of a three or four-cell thrower.

To take a line from the id Software 1996 FPS game, "Quake", all my other flashlights are starting to rust from disuse.

For me, it's the Zebralight SC700Fd.

I find very floody lights to be the most useful for most situations, and this one is 5000K and >90 CRI so the tint is very nice IMO. I also like the UI...not too complicated, but customizable enough.

My biggest problem with it is that Zebralight seems to release new models really slowly, so if I want more flashlights, I'd have to go elsewhere.

The c2 centurion. So many drop in's to choose from, LED or incan, and so many aftermarket parts. It can use rechargeable or 123's. Works great, looks great, ergonomics are great, and is tough as nails. It can be configured do pretty much anything you'd need a pocket light for.

My EDC is a bluish grey colored Jaxman E2L with Triple Nichia 219 LEDs in a TIR lens, running on a single18650 cell. It's a great, truly compact light with a beautiful tint that didn't break the bank.

But my real favorite is the Lumens Factory Seraph SP-6 Ti, one of 99 made, with a Sportac two-level 3x-nichia 219 Led P60 drop-in module. It also runs on a single protected 18650 cell and the leds have the same beautiful tint as the Jaxman.
Despite the fact that titanium was used as the material for the host, the light is heavy for its size. I think that the design of the aluminium host was used for the titanium version. As a result, the host is bomb proof. Literally.

Both lights are used at photography sessions, for illuminating night scenes.

If by favorite you mean the one I carry the most, it would be the Sofirn C01s. The low is perfect for keeping from stubbing my toe or running into things, while the high is great for finding dropped objects and looking behind or under things. Second favorite would be its spiritual big brother, the Lumintop tool AA 2.0 with a 14500 cell. It does everything I ask of it as far as ceiling wash, looking around, and just be generally useful. I have one in by laptop/semi-bugout bag along with some extra AA cells.
And there will always be a special place in my heart for the Surefire G2 with a Lumens Factory LED drop-in.

Nitecore E4K. Seems to cover pretty much all my bases. Has great settings of 1, 50, 320, 1050, and 4400 lumens. I like the even flood beam as it works best for my needs. Wish it was a warmer tint, but other than that, it's about perfect.

Favorite? A custom MagLite modded years ago to put out over 1000Lumans powered by a custom carrier holding 9 eenloop AAs for a runtime of about 40minutes. This at a time when the best police lights were hitting 100L. The "kit" ran me over $350 at the time & it still works GREAT & gets plenty of shocked looks when an "old school MagLite" lights up steel plates at 200yds.

The Malkoff MDC/MD2/MD3/MD4 eco-system with various drop-ins and parts. Once it reaches a critical point it does everything, and very, very well. I kind of see it as "a/my flashlight", but realize it's serious cheating!

I'm torn between the 320 lumen SureFire G2x Pro and 650 lumen PKDL FL2 as my all time favorite LED lights.
A 2c Kel-Lite gen 1 is my favorite incan. But I also really like his 2D B-Lite.

Bayco old style nightstick it is a nimhdy and it has dual shine it may not be as bright as the new ones but I know that I can work 8 hrs in the pitch dark and it will not let me down the newer lights are lithium and they are brighter but about a 4 hr run time is about max that I've seen to find!!!
