10440 into a mach3 razor?

Well my guess is that after 5 minutes of faster buzzing or so the little vibrator motor would be cooked. The good part is it's a cheap experiment to know for sure.

ROD (razor of doom) perhaps. Perhaps it could be marketed as a tactical defensive travel tool or TDTT.

After testing, make sure to report back so we can put it in the Li-Ion compatibility table.

LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok guys, I just tried it but the positive button was too wide and short to make contact. So a stuck one end of a paper clip against the positive terminal as I pressed the 10440 in and it made contact.

Now, I'm laughing because when I turned it on the vibration felt about 5 times heavier than with the alkaline cell. I thought it was going to shake the blades right out of the blade head since the whole thing seemed to be rattling itself to death....lol.

Its been running for about 4 minutes but I'm not sure how long it's going to last. This thing is like a micro-hedge trimmer.

:laughing::popcorn:

10 second video

...haha

I'm still chuckling about the way it runs at 250% more voltage than designed. I haven't shaved with it yet but I will give it a try, even if it's just for the sake of giving you guys a laugh. :grin2:;)

I wouldn't be too sure...for certain motors a boost circuit may be needed to get enough current/voltage from 1AAA to power the assembly.

how much of an increase is the circuit actually putting out is anyone's guess :)

lol!

I will say though, while the buzzing on my Gillette Fusion doesn't give me a closer shave (my closest shave is obtained with a 2-sided single-blade-real old-school stuff) it does make shaving more comfortable.

I put a 10440 in my wifes little buzzy friend. Haven't got any grief on flashlight spending after that! :twothumbs

15 posts in is still a little early for this kind of idea. :shakehead It's best to save these until after the OP show us pictures of his patchy and scratched up face.

Let us know how it works. (The razor only please.)

Sorry guys, no video this time but I actually did shave with it in the shower. It was necessary to do away with the paperclip set-up and I used foil instead to make contact. That allowed me to put the cover back on and use it in a water tight fashion. In any case, my face is still in one piece and believe it or not the vibration seemed pretty effective for getting a close shave...lol. There is a big difference in feeling between an alkaline battery and the 10440. You can actually feel it tickling your face and even made my nose tickle a bit...haha. Funny stuff! :p

You get a closer shave from washing your face/showering beforehand, the vibrating feature is just a gimmick..

Not according to my good lady it isn't. She's always borrowing it for her bikini line. Even midwinter for some reason.:D

I believe this needs some third party testing. Anyone else want to give this a try? We need some nice comparison beamshots er beardshots.

If your thinking what I'm thinking than no, your wifey's potato peeler won't take much more of it.
I've taken out a eggbeater using 14500s already:shakehead
