10x AA battery holder / enclosed

Good morning-

I've been looking for a 10x AA battery adapter for my wife's pump- the pump requires 12V, but as you know nimh batteries are slightly lower.

I've found a couple of dozen 'snap' adapters (uses a 9V snap plug) but nothing that is enclosed. (Yes, I could get 2x4AA and 1x2AA and offset them with double sided tape... but that seems rather complicated)

The Medella adapter also has a small ceramic cap across the two terminals- not sure why, but that would seem easy enough to do.

never seen an enclosed 10AA battery holder... they do make 10AA regular snap top holders that are 5x2 back to back.

Will it work on 11.1 volts? 3 Li-Ion or Li-Po cells in series will give you 11.1 volts and 11.1V Li-Ion battery packs are available premade on fleabay.

I would assume so- it works on 8x1.2V right now.

My only concern with that (and believe me I've been contemplating it) is I've seen some airsoft videos where the power packs show the guns running way hot when used with Lithiums.

Now LiFePO4 would be a safe choice for a pump... but straight LiPoly is out.

I used this for a 12v pack before. Quick, simple, and can be charged 3 ways (solar/dc/ac). I own the compact solar unit as well as a 6.5W folding panel.

I've only charged using the compact clip on panel 2.2W. This unit can also charge N cells as a FYI for more uses. Slim profile and also acts as a battery holder.
