I think I have too much time on my hands..
Today on my quest for a 15 mcp I cam across a 12 mcp. It still has the two switches on the side but..
They are 3 way switches, the main bulb rocker switch goes one way for partial power and the other way for full pawer 12mpc.
The other switch operates two lights on the rear of the thor, one way turns on a small area light and the other way activates a red blinking light.
I can't seem to get the 15mpc here so I will settle for a mere 12mpc...
Oh yeah! I comes with a padded carrying case!

I am going to have to look, the box was bigger than the 10mcp but not as big as the flouresent thor I recently seen I dont think.

Be careful if you are looking "SUP??EX CANADA".
It just a thor alike, the rough reflector cause less brightness than 10mcp thor even it is same Philips bulb!

I plan on going in tomorrow to look at it again. This is why I created this post, hoping someone wiser would guide me.
So, If the reflector is not smooth than this is one I don't want?

Well, think about it for a minute Pydpiper. If you are searching for major throw, wouldn't you want a very shiny reflector? The thor does have a very shiny reflector, so if it isn't very shiny than chances are that it is not a real Thor. It also means less throw.

It's not that you don't want it (who doesn't want another flashlight?/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif), it's probably just not the Thor you're looking for.

I went to go see it again..
The reflector is 7" across, and perfectly smooth.
the other notable thing is it has a 12v output on it, an adapter to plug a cigarette lighter into it.

OK! Phew.. That was a long journey..
I'll get the 15 mcp when it comes around, I like this for the little light and 12v recepitcal. I will be able to charge my cell phone off it if needed..
The carry case is a nice nylon case with thick padding.

Sure, I may go in today if I have time.. If not I will go tomorrow. Am I to understand this is something unseen?

Well, I've been looking at CPF's spotlight forum since the Thor first came out and I have never heard of any 12 MCP version. So, most likely it's unseen and probably new to the market.

It retails for $99, and now I feel compelled to go get some pics..Ill do that later.
I am not going to purchase it yet until I get some positive feedback from you guys, I was hoping someone would have identified it from the rear lights and 12v output port.
The thing that seperates it from the cheap knock offs I have seen is the latches on the battery door, each Thor I have seen has the same mechanisim, this one too.

Take a look at this . Aparrently tou can get the 15 MCP version with the 12 volt cig. outlet as well. That's a pretty neat feature.

Doesn't the 10mcp Thor have a 7inch reflector too? I would assume this could be the same as the 10mcp only with extra features and rated at 2mcp more for marketing?

I think your right.
I am no spotlight guy (yet) but I had a hard time isolating this from other lights outside of a few neat features..

I went to the store but did not buy this light, I want to wait for feedback from you guys first.
BUT.. I did bring home the owners manual, I will scan it or take photos later today..

How'd you get the owners manual without buying the light?...lol

Good question.. My wife asked the same one..
I am somewhat of a contractor, I frequent all the hardware stores in my little town, and I walked in and said "hey Jackie, can I take the manual and bring it back this afternoon?" She said "as long as you bring coffe back with it"
So, now I have the book.. And I forgot to bring it back..
