Hi guys,

I have a floor lamp in my living room that needs a bulb replacement. The bulb is 120V 300W double ended (you can google it if you like), about 4 inches in length. I noticed all the websites I visit warns against UV exposure from this bulb. IIRC there is a glass enclosure that I can best describe as a tunnel that goes over and covers teh bulb. This provides protection from such emissions.

I am concerned about UV exposure, so my question is where can I find the glass tunnel enclosure? I tried looking online but no results. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

its a stock part but dosent NEED to be there, you can operate the lamp w/o it, just make sure you keep anything flammable away and don't hang out directly in the bulbs path closely.

My question is also health related because I am very sensitive to UV exposure. I could stand completely underneath the shade of a tree on a hot sunny day, and 10 minutes later I would have instant sunburn.
