I was going to slip one in to my Jetbeam (I know, not recommended) and realized they do not have the button top to make contact with the head. Is there a way to rectify this situation?

NEVERMIND, I FOUND MY ANSWER. But hey, thanks for looking.
Two points.
1) I would STRONGLY recommend that you use a protected 14500 cell, which I have been using without problem for 6 months.
2) My Jetbeam makes great contact with POS terminal without anything added to battery. Magnets can slide over and short against the NEG side, resulting in a ruined light, 1100°F fire, and/or explosion of the Li-Ion.
