Whenever I see a flashlight on eBay, and they say "We never put in batteries, so we
haven't checked it out. This is the gift for someone who has everything! You are BUYING AS IS." I translate that into: "It doesn't work, but I'd be stupid to say that, so I'll say I'm too lazy to check whether it works or not, and I'll cover my a*s by saying You are BUYING AS IS." Who are these people who expect me to believe they never put a set of batteries into a rare, collectible flashlight, to see if it works? Are these guys so genuinely lazy they won't buy 2 C or D cells, and possibly a bulb, so they can say the flashlight is in working order, and substantially increase it's value? From the description given on the gold plated flashlight, it could have two totally corroded, dead batteries inside of it. It takes all kinds, I guess....
