Gentlemens,
Any of you use the Ultrafire 3.7V 1800mAh LC 17670 Protected Battery? As of now, I have one AW and am in the market for more. Are these Ultrafire's any good or should I stick with AW's? Ultrafire claims 1800 MAH while AW claims 1600. Where is a good place to buy them?
Thanks.

Quite a few folks around here have bought and used ultrafire brand cells... I have heard a few incidents of cells coming in a state of discharge that would be considered unsafe...

I think it would be interesting to buy up some cheap cells from various places (like ultrafire, tenergy, powerizer, etc) and send em over to silverfox for a detailed analysis of capacity and performance and protection limits.

Any incidents with AW's at all? I'm just curious b/c I can get four Ultrafires for the price of two AW's.

I'm pretty sure there have been incidents with AWs cells, but he is a GREAT dealer to work with, I'm confident he would replace cells if there were any issues no questions, where a less reputable dealer may or may not... if you get them from a reputable dealer it should be fine.... I suggest batteryjuntion if you want to give the ultrafires a shot, he has great communication, is a member of this board, and has very reasonably priced and fast shipping options.

10milg29;

I have used hundreds of Lithium-ion cells in lights and RC applications.

I prefer the Japanese cells from Sony, Sanyo or Panasonic.

They don't have the higher failure rates of Samsung or chinese cells.
