Received this in the mail today from Moddoo:

Tom made this to my drawing after we discussed a little:

I sent him the E thread die I had bought so he could make one for himself too. The 6.4mm thread length should be more like 6.6mm or more so an o-ring will fit better.
So I assembled it to a McC2S 60 ohm switch and SOB1000 Q3 3A modded KX1 from member BigBoy & dropped in an 18500. Any E-head that supports 4.2V, like a KL1, KX2, E2DL (maybe an L1...), etc., will work. A Creemator will be spending some time on this.

I didn't have a bezel o-ring at work where I took the picture.

It's 116mm long (actual size picture above ...on my monitor) and puts out a lot of light on high and a little on low. It is a well focused, hand adjusted & re-epoxied KX TIR smooth beamed thrower. It isn't quite 1000mA off an 18500, but close. This is just about ideal size/runtime/output/UI balance.

Great machine work Tom! It works great.

I don't have any pictures of the inside, but it is a similar bore job like the 18mm bored 6P's Moddoo has been doing. It is mostly smooth with just a tiny bit of roughness in spots. The 18500 I have fits great. I could take a picture, but it would be boring... :ohgeez:

Moddoo leaves a step where the 18650 cell should stop in his bored 6P's which I needed for the smaller diameter E-bezel threads anyway. I first just asked him to put the step on a 6P 60mm from the tail end instead of the 75mm or so he usually does. He then asked me what I was planning, so I told him I was going to cut it down & thread it to fit an 18500 & E head. He was intrigued & quoted to do the whole job.
