I am looking for good high quality protected batts.

18650 and 26650 for my ebay dive lights.

I also need another charger to charge both types.

banggood.com I have bought from before

Are the below a good choice?

26650 batts;

For the 18650, I would go for Eagletac or Olight batteries. But be aware, that 26650 battery from Olight isn't standard. It has + and - pole at the same side. So can only be used the the appropriate light. Those Keeppower batteries are good :)

Also check out the Nitecore Intellicharger. It is slow...so be aware of that. But if you don't mind waiting, it is a good charger. Terminates properly, dead easy to use, will take just about anything except LiFePO4, 10440 to 26650. Will also charge NiMH or Ni-Cad batteries if needed, AAA to C.

Nitecore I4 V2 Li-ion Ni-MH Ni-Cd Smart Battery Charger4-channel charger / version 2.0

I have the old V1 - awesome thing.

Where should I buy V2 from (ie sellers on forums?)

Any links to specific batts?

just an idea:
You dont need to get a new charger, just a slight modification to the VP1.

From the beginning I really hated those totally unnecessary "extensions" at the "cell opening" the VP1 has.
They feature no use at all and prevent the cell to be gripped good - often they slip out of my fingers and get shooten away by the spring pressure.
Solution: cut them away with a file.

Happens that this mod opens space for 26xxx cells
:)

PS: test Your 26650 cells!
at my uses - XM-L on normal current - the ones I have are WORSE than most 18650s.
They do not give the same runtime, or - at best - just a tiny bit more.
So - to me - it makes no sense to bring a much bigger and heavier light, for nothing.

PPS: when I have time, I will close the holes in the VP1 with a plastic sheet glued over the holes
;)
