18650 capacity?

It seems the capacity on those 2400 mAh UltraFire is more like 2200 mAh. AW cells are rated at 2200 mAh and it seems they are not overrated. The only unprotected 2600 mAh cells I've seen are Unprotected LG. I don't know if there is space to add a protection circuit on those and I'm pretty sure the Tenergy are not LG cells. ;)

Re: 18650 capacity (2600 mAh protected)?

There's a thread about these here. I hope the capacity proves true.

The good news is that these cells are sufficiently narrow for just about all 18650 bodies--no wider than 18.2mm.

The not-so-good news is that, like other Tenergy protected cells, they're not rated for discharge rates above 1.5C. For thirsty lamps (>2 amps), that might pose startup problems.

Can this be true?
The Scurion power packs contain 4 cells 2s2p with 2550mAh nominal. The 2.6Ah cells I know are 2,55Ah cells, some dealers just quote the max capacity instead of the average.

Yes, the most important point: the better pack has 5088mAh (nominal 5.1Ah) at 0.8A, which is more than I expected.
