Glad sorted original issue and hope enjoy the h2r, mine is used 5 days a week , every week. I always lock out on tail cap(just loosen a few mm to break contact) in between use. There is no parasitic drain, but more to prevent accidental activation.

Thanks for the tip and for all your advice in this thread.

I'm happy to say the H2R was fantastic for night hiking and general camp activities and I'm sure it's going to get a lot more use.

Glad happy with it, its my most used light by a good way in work. Best bit, if anything goes wrong(hopefully not) like drop it from 20ft:ohgeez: and wont turn on, it took around 3 days total to get a new one in my hands. Olight UK have been excellent, check their sales as well today and this weekend. Might be worth picking up a back up if decent savings can be had. I am sure my 2nd one(back up of course) cost me in the £40's.

Booga, olight UK have the h2r(and of course other lights) on sale, the H2r is £41.97...................bargain!If you have a CW version, highly recommend the NW option, very nice!
