18650 Torch on my holiday??

Im off on holiday later tonight and thinking of taking a torch on my travels. I am unsure are 18650 rechargables allowed on UK flights to the EU? I know how volitile 18650 can be so was unsure and wanted to be safe.

If you're allowed to bring a laptop you can bring 18650's. To be certain just dont put en in your hand-luggage.

From a quick google search I was coming up with information that tells that Lithium batteries(couldn't find anything chemistry specific?) can not be put in checked luggage but are allowed loose in carry on luggage.

Won't link to any sites as I don't know how reliable the info is on them?

yes that's true. lithium battery is allowed in checked luggage, but not in carry on.
