Thank you, CPF member AW, for the new protected 18500, and 18650 cells, with the button top:twothumbs

This cell tube is the same length as a 17500 E to E series cell tube...No adapter, or magnet required...Load and go:thumbsup:

Let me repeat...

1500mAh capacity, and a light that is exactly the same overall length, as a 17500 bodied light...WOO HOO

God I wish I could make things like you can...
Interesting tailcap design- is that to allow an easy "grab" on the battery?
BTW is the 18650 only 1500mAh? Not 2200??

David, this cell tube is for the 18500 cell, which is 1500mAh capacity...The 18650 cell is 2200mAh.

The body is a two piece design...The tailcap is standard Aleph/E-series, I should have taken a third photo, showing all the seperate pieces.

EDIT: Third photo added.

Ahhhh... TB, TB, TB - :tsk: can't you just keep all of your creations to yourself, so I can NOT be tempted? :shakehead :nana:

I like the rear-loading action - could you theoretically make a one-piece tailcap that had the other portion of the body integrated into it? Did that come out right?

I'm still  from:buddies: at the :santa:  last night - time to go home and :sleepy:!

NO!

Yes, that's possible, but I really feel the lock-out feature, Aleph/E-series switch configuration offers, is very important with a momentary/tactical switch...No risk of activation, if the switch housing is turned to the lock-out position.

This would be a nice one to test, with that new Shoppe built, GDuP LE, you have John...

You live in the North Pole now, eh? That makes sense - you make all of my favorite toys! :santa:

Great point Scott - my :tinfoil: brain didn't think of that. I was just playing the 's advocate.

 It seems like the GDuP likes just about any single-cell configuration - not to mention, Kroll-friendly! It'd benefit greatly from a higher capacity cell like the 18500. :twothumbs Come on Scott, you're supposed to give me a reason NOT to try and buy this! :huh2:
