I'm going to attempt this review again. Last night I typed it & when I went to send, lost my ISP connection & all the info. Review is on Ripoffs CO-8 & CO-44. I'm beginning to feel I've quit collecting lights & started collecting holsters. Much cheaper.

CO-8 is a clip on holster designed for the Mini-Mag carried in a band & pocket with a flap designed for a small light, folding knife, or multitool. I was hopeing the band would be large enough for the Reactor, but it's not. Could probably be stretched, but I'll likely just keep it for the M-M with a LS dropin of some varity. If your light has the rubber clickie (Kroll)switch, it doesn't want to go in either, but does well with the SL style clickie. Now for the pocket. It's a bit on the small size. The only light I have that fits well is the CMG Infinity Ultra. My E2 will fit, but only get about 1/2" flap contact on the velcro. A smaller multitool will fit, but my Leatherman Super Tool is too large. Also, a full size folding Buck style knife is too large to fit well. Had they made this pouch a little larger, it would be a much more useful holster. However, if you have a mod Mini-Mag & an Infinity Ultra, this would make a very useful, small grab-n-go, clipon light package. Also, cost was only $8.50. I believe NiteIze makes one for $3, but it's a belt type, & I generally don't wear a belt. I may get one just to compare the difference.

Now to the more useful CO-44. This is a 4 pocket holster. The 4th pocket is a flat one in the back good for ID, cash, small map, note pad, or such. Accross the front, you have 2 large covered pockets & a small one in the middle. I was hopeing the small one would hold my X5, but it's too small. However, my SL Batonlite fits very well. The bottom is open, but the light is snug enough there's no fear of it comming out. The new SL 3N Poly light may fit, but I don't have one, so I'm not sure. There is a center top strap that goes over this pocket, but is not necessary as the other 2 flaps meet in the middle. I'll probably just cut it off. You do still have the velcro strip sewn on the outside of that pocket you could use as a holder for something else. May even make a holder from the strap I cut off.

Now for the 2 larger pockets. They are both closed on the bottom. They are sized for a 6P, G2, E2, ARC LS w/2AA pac, or other size light. If you stretch one of the pockets, you could fit the Scorpion or Triad, but as is, the rubber handle is too much friction. The pockets are just stitched at the bottom, not folded over, so I'm thinking of cutting the stitches on one pocket to expand my carry options. I then should be able to carry the 9V SF or my LGI. Currently this holster is carrying my E2e, X5T, & SL Batonlite. This should cover most of my needs in a single grab-n-go light package. The holsters can be found at www.ripoffs.com & purchashed at www.filmtools.com . They charge actual shipping cost, like BG does, without all the built in "other" cost. I bought 5 holsters & shipping was around $5. TX

the ripoffs holsters are much better than the chincy surefire holsters. i prefer the clip on models and they are much more secure. just wish they offered them in od green.

txwest,

I checked out the CO75 and have it on order. The sales lady had a Super Leatherman and checked that it would fit.

Thanks for the great site recommendation.

Tom

The Ripoffs CO-124 is a perfect fit for the Surefire E2e and the E2e with the KL-1 led bezel.

I have been using one everyday for the last four months and it looks like new.

www.brightguy.com has them listed for the Inova.

Tombeis,
I find the CO-124 to be to tight for my E2e and for my X5T. The X5 fits nicely though. The others will go in, but it takes 2 hands to get them out. Maybe yours is looser. My CO-130, made from the same material, is too loose for the lights it's designed for, but my SF T-head lights & my US, fit fine.

SilverFox,
I have the CO-75 & like it a lot. However, I would have recomended the CO-86, instead. It has the larger pocket open at the bottom, so besides being only able to hold the Scorpion, 6P, Triad size lights, it'll also hold the 9P, Stinger, & 8X size lights (+ PT40 & 4AA Responder). But you will like the CO-75.

txwest:

I first used the CO-124 with the E2e and the stock Bezel. It fit perfectly.

Lately, I have used the holster with the KL-1 on the E2e.

I don't have any trouble removing or replacing either of the E2e's

The only way I know the Stock number of this holster is from the Brightguy website.

One day I stopped by his store here and Greg showed me the Inova with the holster. I bought two holsters for my E2e's. I have since recommended the holster and I got the Ripoffs stock number from Greg's website.

I will call Greg tomorrow to make sure it is the correct number.

Sorry you are having a problem.

Tom,
The # is correct. I too got mine from Greg. It's just that it's sewn a bit small. Like I said, my CO-130 is too large for the lights it's designed for. In this case, it's a plus. I do wish the CO-124 were larger so I could use it for my E2e. TX
edit:
(next day) I noticed last night my Leatherman Super Tool could just be cramed in this holster (being SS & smooth, it doesn't damage the holster), so I shoved it in & carried it for the day. That allowed me this evening to push it on the end of a large broom handle. By Sun, the E2e & X5T should fit fine.

Has anyone experienced Nite Ise torch accessories? They range from headbands, holsters and you can even give your torch a set of legs to make it a fullu adjustable bedsie light.
The Nite Ise Grip'n'clip works well for all D sixed torches; giving a thermally insulated grip and a doglead style clip to hang your torch by, and an adjustable webbing handle, intended to keep the torch from being separated from its owner!
The thermal grip is welcome when using any metal torch in this winter weather. The doglead clip allows you to hang lanyardless torches from a hook or from your trousers or belt. Mine is fitted to my Elektrolumens 4D to 5C 5W cyan, incrasing its practicality!

EM,
I have the NiteIze head band & consider it a worthwhile item to keep in your glove box along with a emergency light. It'll hold any light from an ARC AAA to a PT 40. Very handy to have if you have to change a tire. I have the NiteIze holder that's like a really thick band of rubber with a flip on it. It's good if you want to hang it on something, but swings too much when you walk. I never got one of those holders with the legs. I was afraid the light might want to be taken for a walk, then all the other lights would want to come too. When you have over 100, it makes for a lot of leashes. :>) And what would the neighbors say?? 8^{
