200 lumen $7 light video

Nice video! It was great watching it last night knowing i had your lights twin in the mail from China from the same seller and it just has cosmetic differences.
Item number: 140547423634 Fleabay item and i paid $1 more than you, But for all intended purposes its the same light.
I find the video a very good representation of the light and its operation.

For the money its an incredible light, It would be 5x-7x the price if it was made in the USA and sold by a retailer here.
My only con about the light was i felt the focus adjustment moved to easily and kind of sloppy, But i unscrewed the emitter and it uses a ring on the drop in that is used for friction. I first removed the ring and I put some clear packing tape around the drop in and put the ring back in and lubed the contact area with a lite grease, It has a much smoother movement and not sloppy like it was.
I also found NO blemishes or damage anywhere, Its pretty much the same build and fit and finish quality i would expect a new light to arrive in.

For long run times and when im using it as a candle during power outages ill run NiMH AA's due to their capacity, But the lumen's is probably in the 130lm range.
That was tested with a fully charged Powerex 2700mAH cell.

Then i went to a Trustfire 14500 900mAH cell 3.7v and the light really comes alive and id say 200lm would be a good guess on output.
Ive not done much testing with the light so i cant say nothing about run times or heat output of the 14500 cell.
And heat output should be decent since the drop-in screws into the base and tube, Ill be removing the grease off the threads and adding ceramic thermal compound as it most likely heat up good with the 14500 cell.

The flood setting is what you would see in a normal light, The spill from regular torches isn't as high as the output this light has in flood mode.
So thats one big advantage the light has over none adjustable lights.
The spot is tight and you can see even the traces of the emitter, But the hot spot is 2x the size of a normal light but it has almost no spill.
Its a 1 mode light which is ok, But id prefer 3 modes but for the price you cant have everything.
It will tail stand and is about the size of a roll of quarters. It also has a clip and due to its smallish size could be pocket carried easily. It could have been made alot smaller than what it is, But i like a little heft and size unless im looking for a tiny light. If you remove the clip it will leave screw holes into the lights cavity and not help water resistance, Some silicone injected in the holes should fix that as i dont like clips much myself.

The seller shipped rather quick:
Sale date: 06/09/11
Delivery: 06/23/11
Thats pretty good for all the way from China.

Overall, Id give the light a 9 out of 10 just for the kinda sloppy tolerance of the adjustment movement.
This would be a great light to buy 10 of and keep on hand to give as gifts since its AA friendly and possibly turn someone else into a light junky when they see what the light will do with a 14500 installed.

The only thing I dont like about the light is the tailcap switch. It gets stuck sometimes. And it is a reverse clicky. I would have preferred a shrouded tailcap for tailstanding.

But for the brightness and price, cant complain.

This is quite good, ordered and received today.

I still prefer the Sipik over this. It is shorter, with clip, can tailstand and use Li-ions.
Better clicky also. Only drawback I see, is just a little less throw. More flood, though 🙂

You can find those using search at a certain Big internet auction site: led zoom flashlight. Cost just under 10$ but IMO are well worth it!
Won´t put a link, modes...

Yes, The one i got is a Sipik clone. Mine is labeled as an UltraFire, But its the same light.
And except for some external differences is the same light internally as the OP's. I don't mind the single mode on this light even when i prefer 3 modes mainly.
I also like the more flood than throw in such a small light or its like trying to use a laser to light up a target at 50 yards.

Also keep in mind that these lights are NOT water proof, Somewhat water resistant but i wouldn't submerge it.
The drop-in style pill seals the electronics and battery, But it leaves the emitter and reflector exposed since you cant really seal a focusable light at this price.
But id use it in a downpour, Just not for long and being sure not to drop it.

Looking at mine it reminds me of a thumb in its size, So ill most likely call this my "Thumb Light". I also have rather thin digits so the light isn't all that big.
