Great Ceaser's ghost, Superman; that's too much power for one person to have!
I noticed that either Ravovac or Energizer upped the rating of their AA NiMH, sold through Walmart, Target, etc. Can't remember the specifics and numbers though. One was only 1200, while the other was 1600; I think both are now rated at 1600, but don't quote me...
And is this like auto tire amnufacturers' ratings of the expected life of their tires? I've seen ads that claim 80,000 miles. Of course, that's the steel belted version only...(*only* steel belts, no cis-polybutadiene added.....).
I *do* remember someone writing in (vicbin, methinks) and pointing out that tbe limitations of NiMH chemistry density mean that the physical size of an AA battery can only hold enough stuff to max out at about 1800mAH. I could be wrong though - maybe he was talking about voltage...
If this is true, then these 2000mAHs must have thinner walls or something. Or has the chemistry taken a leap forward? Anyone here got the skinny on this? This is amazing...
