Both my HD 18650 on a 21700 and my M61 H/L on an MD2 with two RCR123s (for nice low) feels like perfect lights. A bit ironic since I started out with 18650 battery lights. I blame this forum

It is but you need to be careful when using a 3 volt dropin in a host that will surpass that. I’m sure your good but someone could drop 3 123’s or a couple 18500’s in there an your in trouble.

Absolutely. As long as you keep track of what dropin is in. That would make an awesome setup.

I am really liking my M61HOT head.

I want one too, have been using the HD18650 with the 5 dgr diffusor (forests here), but imagine I could use the HOT and switch the HD to 1 dgr/none for more dedicated throw.

If you need it for 300 feet or less, I would say the M61HOT/M91T is perfect.

I actually ordered the PD36R clip from Fenix. I am waiting for it to arrive. I just received a PD36 TAC so when I get home this evening, I’m going to try that one out.

I do like the two way PD36R clip better though...I appreciate the serious help with that particular clip.

It's an excellent fit. I'm going to put it back on when I get another clip.
And it doesn't look goofy in the pocket since the tailcap is low-profile.

I emailed Fenix-Store Support and asked them if they had the two way clip that came with the PD36R. They were super helpful. I had to create an account so they could invoice me.
