You won't get full output with the HD super on a single lithium. With a 21700 I got close to 80% output down to 500 lumens or so after 2 hours. Then at the 3 hour mark it was down to 150-200? Battery was at 3.9 then

guys, now this just feels wrong :D the MD21700+M61HOT looks very strange to me:
( it's a sensible setup, don't get me wrong, but somehow this just feels wrong to my eyes :) )

HD and HOT back to their respective bodies they usually travel on:

@fulee9999 I can think of two things that make the 21700HOT combo look wrong to you. 1) Your tailcap is not a tricap anymore, and 2) the width of the entire combo is almost the same head to tail, which is not the case for the MD2HOT.

What do you think would be a good alternative tailcap for the MD21700 body? I'm still exploring options in case I need them.

Id love a 1x & 2x AAA MDC. Id also like to see a single mode or dual mode MDC head available in HCRI neutral or warm white. Nothing too bright just 70-90 lumens and maybe a 10 lumen low.

For the MD21700 I hope they'll eventually release a anti roll tailcap like the tri-cap. Of cause Ive been waiting for the 2x21700 for over a year now like some other members here.

Don't think you can use any tailcap other then the one that comes with us

@thermal guy Thank you for the update! That is unfortunate. I have to admit the tailcap discomforts the handling. Similarly to the MDX standard tailcap, the MD21700 tailcap makes it more awkward to hold the light, and press the switch. If only it were a tricap, or at least an unshrouded tail. How could I improve this?

@ilikeguns40 Streamlight 1L-1AA for now, I supose :))

@kerneldrop thanks for the tip! I'll look into this. It's not the rolling, it's the awkward handling that bothers me, although I think the ring will definitely help.
