I woke up to a swishing sound about 3.30 this morning. It quickly turned to a gnawing, then a clatter, followed by stuff being pushed around on my kitchen floor. Not being in an area that is prone to break-ins, I decided to see what was going on, so I crept into my light locker and grabbed my 27. On low mode it was just enough to see what was going on, and when I got close to the kitchen I BLASTED the room, just in time to see a commotion on the floor near my trashcan!!

Pesky raccoons ATE A HOLE through my window screen, then tipped over my trashcan and started stealing stuff! The light was enough to scare them back outside, and I immediately closed the window, but it took more than a dazzle of light to help the little critters get the picture (and you can imagine a hairy guy in his boxer shorts yelling at a pack of raccoons while all you can see of them is their eyes glowing in the basking power of a McLux gemstone)

Just thought I'd share - how many lumens is this light putting out?? I'm gonna have to venture it's my brightest pocketable lights..

I don't remember if McGizmo has posted a number, but I came up with 120 lumens for mine. Compared to several lights of known output that I have, I'm pretty confident that it's accurate to within 10 lumens or so.

Glad it chased 'em outside. You do not want to get bit by a raccoon...
