As a free bump, just wanted to say that a mag bi-pin bulbs could be used in these host for much longer runtime. I am using a 5D bulb in a 2x18350 body. If you put a dc fix film on the glass then you can get a great, even incand flood from this setup (would not try this in a 1000lm hot rod though)

Ex cap 35mm when installed on 2x18350, can it be used with 2x18500 then? Are tolerances ok?
Yes, when you use 35mm Ex cap, your 2x18350 flashlight will take 2x18500
and if you use 69mm Ex cap, your 2x18350 flashlight will take 2x18650
By the way, installed Mc Clicky switch on Ex cap, will work as tail cap too and you won't need any separate tail cap.

Just tested 2x18350 with Keeppower IMR18350 1200mah and bulb flashed. After reinstalling second, same thing. With third i've used ExCap and 2x18650 protected and now it's ok.
Does anyone else have/had issues with newer gen cells??

Forgot to mention, those 18650 i've installed were old Radilast's, like your setup. I presume new cell will deliver more current than the bulb can chew.

Quick update: it looks like it was the bulb issue, after saying famous war cheer "yolo" i've deceided to go again with KP 18350 and nothing happend ( i mean bulb didn't go poof). Still works, even brighter!
This host is amazing!!!
