I got bored, so I put a KPR112 bulb in one of these lights with 2 18650 cells. In order to make contact with the base of the bulb, I had to cut off the end of the protector. I made a cardboard tube and put the cells in, turned the light on and it gives a nice white beam.
Now to see how long it takes for it to melt the plastic.

It has a metal heat sink that seems intended to cool the metal on the bulb enough to keep the plastic solid.
TBH, I don't care if it lasts, it was taking up space anyway. And I have a bunch of them.

It seems a bit too solid to be the only purpose (seems like there is more metal in the switch assembly then the bulb.) It keeps the plastic solid either way. I'm bored, plus I only have a 3d mag so if I was to use that, I'd want to use 3 cells and a kpr 118.
I wonder what this bulb (KPR112) would do with 7 cells.
