Many of us use TL-3 with 2x17500 and 1499
It has great throw, decent beam and really bright but still not perfect.
I have made these head and 2x18650 battery tube which has forward clickie switch and dust cover boot.
Reflector/bezel and bulb holders are from TL-3 and not only you get triple as much run time but you will also get brighter light since 18650 won't sag like smaller 17500 cells and have up to tripple the capacity which you can recharge and enjoy warm and free lumens.
Not to mention battery life will be much longer because you won't need to recharge as often.
Just imagine:
Close to 3 hours with TL-3 bulb
Close to 2 hours with 1499 bulb
Well over than one hour with 1794 bulb
Completly HA black and come with bezel/reflector, bulb holder and TL-3 bulb, ready to use after you install your batteries.
I also have 3x18500 version of these for even brighter and much nicer/circular beam shape because of it's included axial 22 watt bulb.
Simply remove the battery barrel from head (not bezel) and install batteries just like Scorpion (negative to tail switch)
Remember, these are not only a kit but complete flashlight.
