3 questions about PR bulbs

While scouting through "Topbulb"
web page
several questions came to mind:

1) If Hpr,Kpr,and Xpr refer to Halogen, Krypton and Xenon, does just PR mean plain-Jane vanilla ordinary vacuum bulb?

2) Is it true that Krypton bulbs are more tolerant of being overdriven than Xenon/Halogen, and as a result may provide brighter, longer lasting (relatively blow-proof) light than the other two? As an example: could I put a 2.40v Krypton bulb in a 3 cell Maglite and get brighter light than 3.8v xenon, and also not have it blow
prematurely?

3) is this site (Topbulb) considered a good bulb source by flashaholics?

PR is a base type. It has nothing to do with lamp chemistry. It sounds like some manufacturer has perverted the designation to mix the chemisry with the base type. There is no direct corellation with lamp chemistry and durability. You can have a very durable vacuum lamp and an equally durable Xenon lamp. Lamp robustness has much more to do with filament design and mounting.
