Sold/Expired 32650 D36 & 8AA D36

Wkwkwkw... Also happen to me. I thought something's wrong with the drop-in. Even until now I still have a hard time to remember the correct position if I hadn't put big minus sign in red on the brass part that's sticking out at the bottom.

Please advise which way should I put in the battery holder? A or B (which side is positive of the holder)?

You may want to check here.
Assuming each Eneloop is 1.2 Volt, 2000mAh
White 4AA holder will give you 4.8 Volt @ 2000mAh (4 serial)
Black 8AA holder will give you 4.8 Volt @4000mAh (4 serial / 2 parallel)
White 8AA holder will give you 9.6 Volt @ 2000mAh (8 serial)

So there is only one type of 4 cell battery holder.

Maximum battery diameter of 35mm and length of 74mm will fit in short size version.

Also, will your 8AA D36 fit a 32mm diameter by 113mm length battery?

Maximum battery diameter of 35mm and length of 128mm will fit in long size version.

Would you be able to give me the length (from positive button top to the end of the negative pole) and diameter for the 4S2P batt holder? I want to see if it fits into the Batt tube of the Fenix TK50 (2D cell tube).

You can just sell the batt holder, right?

Or could you suggest which one of your products will work for me? I would like a total of 4.8V from Eneloops to fit into a 2D cell tube (ala TK50) to power my TK70.

I might also look into a batt holder which gives 6.0V (3S) if it fits into a 3D batt tube.'

Basically, the TK70 is able to take voltages ranging from 4.8V to 8.4V and I have a 2D and 3D cell tube, so I am pretty flexible. I just want to use Eneloops to power the TK70 (with either the 2D or 3D cell tube)

Do you mean 8AA to power up WA1164 ?
If so, reflector/socket is available in post #1 of this thread and battery holder is available here.
Same reflector/socket with WA1111 can be used with these 2x18650 bodies.

4 AW's protected 14500 will fit in 4AA adapter and inside barrel of above 4AA body with total nominal voltage of 14.8 volt.

What are the lengths of both lights (from bezel including tailcap)? Interested, but now have to decide in which one .
The 3x 17670 adapter does not fit in the 8x AA host i presume? Widthwise I mean?

Short one (1x32650) is about 160mm and longer one (8AA) is about 210mm including switch boot.
A loaded 3x17670 battery holder will not fit.

Charging port is at tail side.
Black plastic pressed in knured brass nut is Positive and at module side.
Make sure brass plug is inserted in charging port.

Hi folks, Here is another new toy for you.
These bodies are similar to these but takes D36 and come with bezel and Borofloat lens. D36 module and battery/battery holder are (NOT INCLUDED).
Bodies have larger ID to accomodate 32mm cell.
Short version will work with single 32700, 32650, single 26650 with sleeve or 4AA rechargeable. (battery holder not included)
Maximum battery diameter of 35mm and length of 74mm will fit in short size version.
Long version will work with 8AA.
Maximum battery diameter of 35mm and length of 128mm will fit in long size version.
Please note that using NiMH will give you different voltage than NiZn and make sure lamp module is capable of that voltage.
All bodies, tail caps and bezels are black hard anodized and no other color is available.
First picture shows short and long version and second picture shows short version with loaded 4AA battery holder (NOT INCLUDED).
Tail cap has more attractive milling similar to M6 and can accept either version B of these or McClicky.
Switch boot is easy to operate with one hand and choice of black, orange or green GID
Head and body are machined from one piece of high grade aluminum bar and has lots of fine and deep grooves to manage better heat dissipation which is more critical with extreme hot LEDs such as SST-50, SST-90, multiple XML or extreme hot WA1164
Will take many different D36 lamp assemblies such as this, this, FM-D36 socket/reflector module or any other drop in D36 lamp/LED modules.
I strongly suggest these for single 32700, 32650,26650 or FM-D36 socket/reflector+WA1164 module (1500 Lumens) for 8NiMH.
It is possible to use 4S/2P battery holder (4.8V, 4000mAh) if your module can take this voltage.
Also possible to use with higher voltage NiZN rechargeable but your module must be capable to work with this voltage
D26 bodies are available here.
Possibilities are endless.

Advantages:
Not only you will get long run time compare to 17mm or 18mm cells but brighter output because of less voltage sag, less stress to cells and less frequent recharge. Not to mention there are lots of voltage and power possibilities.
Body thickness is about 42mm which is about 2mm fatter than original M*g D but tail cap has 45mm diameter, so chance of slipping out of hand is very little.
Each body comes with one head o'ring, two tail side O'rings, one tail cap, one dust cover boot, one crenelated bezel, Borofloat lens and lens O'ring. No lamp assembly, and No batteries or battery holder included. McClicky switch is optional for additional of $14 installed or insert and tighten your switch inside tail cap.
What you get is a complete host including body, tail cap, tail cap boot, bezel, lens and all needed o'rings. McClickie switch is not included but optional. Head and body is made of one piece (nonremoveable) high grade aluminum with lots of deep fins for better heat sinking.
*These bodies are designed to take several different types of D36 modules but you may need to extract short spring of some modules.*
