Has anyone gotten a set of these
4 LED mag style Aluminum Flashlight set of 3
The LED's look good in these lights but in the same seller's 10 LED ALUMINUM Mag Lite Style FLASHLIGHT the LED's don't look as good. This could be a bad picture or bad/cheap LED's. less than $10 for a 4 LED light w/ a tailswitch is good but not if it is a cheap light. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with these lights or this seller? Thanks in advance

Well, I like the tailswitch design. If someone here buys one of these, please post you opinions on that switch...and whether or not it can be threaded on a true minimag.

Looks like someone got a steal of a deal on those. 3 of them for only $24.55!! Wish I had seen this while the auction was active.

Melven. If you click the link for sellers other auctions you will see that there are LOTS more for sale. He also is selling a 2w laser diode for $99.00

I went ahead and bid on one of the auctions for it. i don't know if i'll get it, but if I do I'll post my impressions.

Nice looking torches for the money. They are roughly the price of normal filament minimag torches here in the UK.
It would have been a good buy for, say, a family who regularly need a torch. It would have ben more interesting though if they could have offered 3 different LED colours to match the torch body colours.

Just wanted to check to see if anyone has gotten these yet. I can't afford to be the tester but if they are any good I can't afford not to get some

Just checked feedback and only bad comment was putting down his 10 LED Light. But I want to hear something about the 3AA 4 LED lights

Well twice now I've bid on these lights and twice someone came in at the last moment and bumped me out. i give up at this point. For the money I would have to spend to get them, and being that they are untested untried lights that could be miserable disapointments, I'm not willing to take that chance. I could spend the $30-35 it would cost to win the bid and get an ARC or something I know I want. We'll have to wait till someone else gets them or is willing to spend more than I to evaluate them.

One of my friend has a 1-AA Aluminium light which looks very similar to the one in pictures i.e. the tail cap switch was identical.

Frankly, the quality of that light is poor compared to standard Maglite and I am not even talking about the actual light emitting from that thing.

If I were you, I will not bother with that bid.

It is a lot easier to make an aluminum flashlight that is "like" the MAG Instruments products, but it is a serious problem to make one better for the same amount of money. Based on the number of these that the seller has on auction, I suspect that they are foriegn knock-offs that are being sold using eBay. The seller may or may not get an unpleasant letter from Mag Instruments lawyers, but he is not making specific claims that the light is or is better than MAG Instruments.

I've tried several knock-offs of MAG Instruments products, and I still haven't found anything that makes me happy about installing InReTech adapters. I may try this one later.

Actually I'm not overly concerned about the quality of the instrument, I figure it should hold up under some light abuse. My concern is for the quality of the output, there have been some nasty LED's around and usually in this type of lower quality light. I don't mind getting what I pay for but I object to getting less than what I pay for.

I have a set coming in the mail. Took several attempts to get past some last minute bidder to get them

. Here is hoping it was worth the aggrivation of the bid process.

With multiple listings of similar items I wonder why the seller did not use the buy it now feature?

They came in today. Tail switch works somewhat. They needed some tweaking and probably will operate better when worked some before they wear out. Not a high end or a mid end tail switch. One tail switch is DOA and may not be fixable.

No lube on the broken o-rings. Diode leads not trimmed and extend past solder lump for batt. positive terminal on head. Cheap white led's that are not pointing straight ahead. A very cheap knockoff of a Ledda, which I own one of. It is bright if a bit overdriven with Alkys. Probably not water resistant, esp. switch.

With a little TLC they can be coaxed into working order and are not bad for a $10 (each) light but I would not rush out and bid on more. Finish not rough but not pretty. Anodizing was good.

Light quality seems good finish is sub par. This could have been a decent light and may be with lots of tinering. Mechanical fit is good except for switch. A Mini Mag tail switch will fit however.

The one good thing was the seller did rush the order out quickly.

Edit: Fixed all 3 tail caps. Units work now. Plastic parts of switch had burrs. Anodizing coming off like it was paint. Almost as bright as a Ledda or a Lightwave 2100. Slightly cool white. Still not bad for a $10.00 light.
