These are stock lights

19/20 were pukey green

the white one was very dim.

Okay... I need some help... someone sent me an international money
order of $69 but it wasn't signed by the sender and I can't deposit
it! Who sent it to me? It's a Travelers Express MoneyGram.

I don't know why it's 69 instead of 67 so i can't figure who's it's
from. please help.

status - I'm still looking for an aluminum disk the size of a german
deuche mark or a 1 dollar susan b anthony coin. Any suggestions?
I spent about 2 hours in home depot and ace going through every isle
thinking about what "part" I can scavenge. I may end up at a
machine shop or even just getting susan b's

Would you believe cut down cat food can tops make good heat sinks? They are easy to cut. I sand the tops a little to get the plastic sealer off the top.

And I wash the tops out before I use them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

You mignt try an electrical place. Seem to remember aluminum looking wall-sockets, the part that fits flush into a wall, have discs covering the socket holes that generally litter new building sites. They just push right out.

I'm going to visit a local machine shop and see if they'll "cut"
me a deal.

4seven,the 3 hosts that were sent to you,one which was mine,are you trying to find discs for those as well?If so, I can send you a Susan B for mine.I can't wait so I'll do whatever it takes to get it quicker.Also,if a Susan B works,why won't a quarter?

a quarter is about 2-3mm smaller - too small.

I don't think it's "too" illegal to deface coins (think of all those machines where you put a penny in and get it stamped with the image of the local attraction). I think if you're going to use it, you can do what you want. Just don't try to put it back in circulation after you modify it.

You might save time (and money) going the Susan B. route.

I am working on lathe'ing some disks today.

UCL - I don't this its possible to take the lens out because it is
part of the reflector. I haven't tried. it measures approximately
30mm.

150a's anre 150s' both will fit in the barrel. The 150a has
more capacity so it makes more sense. I suppose you rig something
up to use 150a pilas /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Is it legal?
United States (NO/YES/MAYBE): The United States Codes under Title 18, Chapter 17, and Section 331, "prohibits the mutilation, diminution and falsification of United States coinage." However, it has been the opinion of some individual officers at the Treasury Department, though without any indication of approval, the foregoing statute does not prohibit the mutiliation of coins if done without fraudulent intent or if the mutilated coins are not used fraudulently.

United Kingdom (YES): It is also legal to elongate coins in the UK for the same reasons at it is legal in the US. A common misconception is that it is illegal to elongate the coin because it defaces the image of the queen, however, we have been assured by a collector in the UK that it is not against the law to flatten the Queen's head... so long as it is on a penny.

Canada (NO): Section 11(1) of the Currency Act states that "no person shall, except in accordance with a licence granted by the Minister [Minister of Finance], melt down, break up or use otherwise than as currency any coin that is current and legal tender in Canada." Furthermore, Section 456 of the Criminal Code of Canada makes it a criminal offence to deface circulation coins: "Every one who: (a)defaces a current coin, or (b)utters a current coin that has been defaced, is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction." The offence is not dependent on fraudulent intent.
