I'm looking to buy a couple Ultrafire 602D clicky flash lights that have the Cree P4 XRE 7090 in them, Or the UltraFire WF-602D1.

I have a WF-602D1 and its really nice but I would like To have 5 modes, Can i buy the 7135 1000mAh drivers and change them out with either of these?

I still want the light to be regulated and not loose the brightness over time. The WF-602D1 does have it regulated but the 602D clicky doesn't I dont think. I would like the clicky version this time, will the 7135 boards fit? The size is right I think?

I don't want to spend $50 a piece on the Fenix P1D or P2Ds, especially when I can get these chinese version for $16-19 each. Also looking to mount these on my Mountain bike.

Thanks!!!

you'd want a constant-current regulator for 'flat' output during most of the lights runtime...

a runtime graph of the AMC7135 5-mode driver is posted here. ;)

Or not. That depends on what one prefers. I like lights that don't just die suddenly when the driver have sucked the cell dry.
That output graph is amazing from one little RCR123 LiION cell. Especially considering the starting output level. The stock driver in the D-mini's gave ~25 minutes of ~flat output on RCR, then the light died on me, resulting in that I didn't use the D-minis until I had changed the drivers in them.

i'm not a fan of constant-current drivers, especially those with no 'moon mode'. :grin2: just merely informing the OP that if he wants a 'light to be regulated and not loose the brightness over time', the 7135 is not the right driver for that purpose. :)

OK so the light will get dimmer no matter what, but depending on the board it does make a difference.

ALso I am currently using the UltraFire 880 protected 3.6v batteries. SO after about 30 min the protection circuit cuts off the power. I jsut watched and the brightness did not seem to be affected durring the 30 min, but maybe I wasn't watching close enough.

I plan on just using the P4's that come with the lights. Are their options besides the AMC7135 5-mode? Also any other places besides hong kong? Last TIme I got from DealExtreme it took 3 weeks!!!

That driver even though is designed for 1 AA, it looks little big to be swapped in. Has anybody swapped in that driver in a cheaper DX/KD light?
