5 mw Laser pointer, led torch pen

I just won a bid on ebay, for a 5mw Laser pointer, led torch pen complete with 3 LR-44 button cells won it for $5.50 AU + $6.00 shipping. I believe that there are a few of these around, has anyone had experience with these, they are silver in color

I have one which i bought for a penny shipped from hong kong, well 2 for a penny actually. (but £6 p&p) the laser is a clas IIIA <5mw and is 650nm + 10. the LED is o.k. If it is the same as mine it will fall apart and batteries fall out if it is knocked in any way.

It may be silver in color, but will surely produce a red beam.

If you were expecting a green laser pointer because of the "5mW" rating, you were mistaken. On the other hand, if you are expecting a red laser, kudos. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Know that you're going to spend a fortune on new batteries, though.
