5 XRE dive light

I just finished this light for a dive friend here in the Puget sound .. here are the specs

stuffed into a 2 inch ABS connector from Home Depot
I used the original driver
Runs on this battery Pack http://www.all-battery.com/84v5000mahflatnimhbatterypack11346.aspx

the light has 5 modes , High , Med , Low , stobe, and SOS ....Burn time ?? havent done one yet ... I did run it for 2 hours on 2ea ( 3.7 volt 18650 3000ma ) for 2 hours... starting voltage was 8.0 volts...ending voltage after running for 2 hr was 7.0 volts on the 18650 ...the cost to build this whole light was $115.00 american... total Build time was 3 days ... The light uses a Reed switch which is mounted in the light head, and turns on by 2 magnets in the goodman handle ... to turn on the light you simply twist the light head

That depends on what type of reed switch.. ? I use a glass reed switch and it Mounts inside the light with silicone I will post a picture

How is the light head mounted to the Goodman Handle (that allows it to turn)? It's not screwed in I take it.

Where did you get or how did you make the Goodman Handle?

What is the cannister made of and how is it sealed?

The cannister looks taller than the batteries would indicate?

It looks like it is mounted with "bungie/elastic" (i dont know the exact english word for it) is this correct and does this give a secure connection?:thinking:

The Handles are easy to make just bend thin stock alumin .. The top is cut from a piece of Black Plexi glass.. I use shock cord, or 1/4 Bungee .. I will get pics up in a day or 2 Of the Guts of the Light head , the reed switch, Beamshots, and the Battery Pack .. Stay tuned
