Please offer a titanium version!

Hi KuanR,

Titanium version is in the works.
The body has been ready for some time, just sitting patiently for a new pcb/driver.

I should mention, that's the old knurling pattern.

Nice one Julian
Now you know where I got the design!

I've never seen that much HAIR on a flashlight before ?

Hi TMG,

I'll confess that I did try sheepskin first but it kept getting tangled in the rotating ring.

Haha, I see what you did there! That's pretty neat! Well isn't that neat?

Great idea. I already have Mr. Elfin, General Malkoff (neutral MC-E 400 lumens with 20 degree optics), Mr. TK45 and the Plunger (I also call it the war mace in front of his friends, but considering Captain TK70). Now waiting for the final revision of Colonel Torpedo and coming delivery of the "HF, Batman!"

Guy: instead of sheepskin, you should try cow hide. More durable and won't get tangled too easily. The grain of the hair can also help the rotation. As a bonus, per intrinsic propertires, it might help milk those batteries out a bit.

Cataract,

Cow hide! Perfect and if it helps with the milking, its a no brainer :D

Doh!
Sorry couldn't resist =)

.... and I'm glad you didn't!

Update:

New pcb/driver proto arrived at the lab for testing.
Looks like all the functionally is there, but some very minor adjustments needed.
1) current output (too high on some modes)
2) controller sensitivity (threshold needs to be turned down just a little)

Overall, feedback from the lab team is good and an updated version with the adjustments is in progress.

Once those adjustments are made, we should be good to go!

I wonder if they'll let me plug the popcorm machine at the post office while I'm waiting for delivery.

Hi,

Does the torpedo have interchangable heads, or is that a prototype head for increased runtimes with the HF ??

Have a Good Day,

Hi Cataract,

Most post offices usually have a popcorn machine hidden behind the counter :D

Hi XPshooter,

Not exactly sure what you mean?
The one in the photo, its just a test setup for verifying the circuit functionality.

The Torpedo heads can be removed, opening just below the selector ring which is also the way to open/change batteries.

The opening is just underneath the red ring.
