Hi All,

Quick comparo...

I chucked a 55 watt HID kit into a pair of Lightforce XGT lights last week, chucked them on to the roof of my ute and drove for about 8 hours on them last Friday night.

Comparing those two lights with a pair of Lightforce 240 Blitz's with 35w 6000k and another set of Lightforce Blitz's with a dodgey setup of 45w 5000k bulbs connected to 35w ballasts that are mounted on my bullbar, I'd say that the XGT's out do those four quite nicely. Man oh man them 55watters are sweet.

I hear light force is now offering 50 watt HID on their products now as an option, have you heard anything about this?

Since the beginning of febuary all LF HID to leave the factory have been 50W.

but you can convert a XGT for half the price.

I wonder why the website says nothing about it?

website hasn't been updated for awhile, it not a big priority until the USA website gets done. All the new literature has been updated though.

GDay Orbit. Is that an AU with NSW plates that I should be looking out for (or away from)?

Good work. A mates brother is modding his LandCruiser 100series, and spends easy, so I will be trying to steer him:). What is the warm up time to half/full brightness? You would definitely go 2 50Ws over the 4? What about spread. Dont laugh,, and have you used the LF filters?

I was looking at the Lightforce handhelds (and 250W incan plugin), but am wondering, how heavy the car mounted spotties are? Usable in any way as a handheld? This is in the making me wonder more as id like to have a blitz but recently saw some bigger reflectored units locally and if i stay incan, then the size may need to go up. I know, It still wont compete on throw... damn...

thanks
