Flashlight Enthusiast
Hey,
The remote control from our RCA TV went bad, so I bought a replacement. I looked real close at the old remote and said HEY! That's a 5mm led in the very tip (after I opened it. heh heh). I've seen mods where you can drill out the center of a Minimag (2AA) reflector and bend the contacts of the LED to fit in the bi-pin slot in the flashlight. Only problem is, since the remote is IR,(I'm assuming the LED is IR), how will I know if I have enough juice? (I'm planning on giving it to a friend to use with his night vision goggles). Are 2AA's enough? Too much?
Thanks! Any ideas, lemme know.
