Sold/Expired 5th run: SST-50 driven by 18650 light.

Thank you for the feedback, the L4 was always the light that I tended to stick in my pocket when heading out. So I think I am going to be very happy with this SST-50 model.

If I use a 25% loss via the reflector, then we should see around 525 Lumens out the front. Seems like the rule of thumb here on CPF is that it takes about 4 times the light to see a "twice as bright" increase. So 320 Lumens would seem twice as bright as the orig. L4. Add another 145 Lumens so what do we have "twice and a half as bright"? Too complicated!

I have good news, I received a Mag from Nailbender with the same emitter that is coming in this run of lights.

SST-50 GJ 100

The tint is absolutley beautiful. Not cool at all, and just pure white leaning toward warm. :twothumbs

Oh, and its bright! My Mag is pushed over 5A, but its a 2D Mag. These being pushed at 2.8A should make for a nice pocket rocket. 😎

Really looking forward to this light. My Lumapower D-Mini Ultra SST-50 is being driven at 2.1 Amps and I'd like it to be brighter. This custom will take care of this "need"!

It depends a few things:
How low the Vin of SST-50, what battery used, fully charge or not.
Will update the spec. after finishing.
:thanks:

Sorry for delay, too busy of holiday. Should finish a week or so.

Happy New Year!

Pocket clip option?

This may or may not help you out, but the clips that come with Eagletac P and T series lights (not the 2-way clip) works well with this light. if you can get one you will have to grind off the small anti-twist? piece that is in the inside of the retaining ring on the clip. It will then attach to the light in between the body and the tailcap. If you want I will try to get you some photos of this later on.

Download, just a note to say I sold my #7 spot in line and $30.00 down payment to Luxlunitic - the first backup.

Any chance for an next run? Or should I get in line as a third backup?
Regards,
Patrick
